VOLLEYBALL

Spring Arbor Univ. 3, Cornerstone 2: SAU rallied to take the last three sets and win their home opener. Kelsie Lilly had 17 kills, Camy Wedge added 33 assists, and Aliza Munro had 23 digs to lead the Cougars.

Springport 3, Vandercook Lake 0: The Spartans served 24 aces with sophomore Peyton Collier leading the way with 12 and Senior Ayla Zienert ended the night with 7. Senior Aubrey Krutsch contributed 7 kills followed by Morgan Shoemaker with 6.

Spring Arbor Univ. 4, St. Francis 0: Ian Lama led SAU with two goals, and Alex Murphy and Caleb Swartzendruber each added a goal.

GIRLS GOLF

Columbia Central Jamboree: The host school took home first place as a team, shooting a 203 team total. Individually, Kelsey Fausz of CCHS led with a 40. Anna McCubbins of Napoleon finished second with a 42.

CROSS COUNTRY

Concord Invitational: Jonesville took home first place as a team in the boys race, with Leslie and Napoleon rounding out the top three. Leslie took home the top spot in the girls race, Concord and Jonesville also finished top three.

Hillsdale Invitational: Hanover Horton took 2nd place in the boys race at Hillsdale, and 3rd for the girls. Columbia Central boys finished in 6th place. Maisey Toteff finished second for HHHS with a time of 20:48.70 and Chad Tyson finished top five for the boys, running a 16:41.61 .

BOYS TENNIS

Northwest 5, Jackson 3: NW battled back in three matches to defeat the Vikings in their home opener. The Mounties’ #2 and 4 singles along with #2-4 doubles took home wins.
