 Boys Basketball

Concord 56, Springport 47: Jett Smith led Concord with 22 points, Darrell Dean finished with 16 points, and Connor Stevens grabbed 11 rebounds for Concord (13-8 overall, 9-4 Big 8). Tucker Wiginton scored 14 points and Gibson Overweg finished with 12 points and rebounds for the Spartans.

East Jackson 57, Pansophia Academy 21: The Trojans earned a non-conference win Tuesday night.

Marshall 61, Northwest 25: The Mounties fell on the road in Interstate Eight Conference play Tuesday. Austin Burns and Lincoln Fuller each scored 18 points to lead first-place Marshall.

Western 52, Coldwater 41: The Panthers jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Maverick Hammond finished with 14 points and D.J. VanRiper added 13 points and three steals for Western. The Panthers knocked Coldwater out of first place in the I-8 with the victory.

Girls Basketball

Grass Lake 59, East Jackson 37: Four players scored in double digits for the Warriors. Kate Starkey scored 17 points, Mya Viegelahn added 14 points and eight rebounds, Bree Salts tallied 11 points and nine rebounds, and Reese Lape scored 11 points with 11 rebounds for Grass Lake.

Hanover-Horton 42, Homer 33: Amanda Ley and Morgan Kuhl each scored 10 points for Hanover-Horton in the Cascades Conference win. Ava Fetterman scored 13 points and Alivia Warner added 10 points for Homer.

Tecumseh 66, Lumen Christi 45: Kenna Hunt scored 18 points and Lucy Wrozek added 11 points for the Titans.

Michigan Center 56, Napoleon 28: McKynley Gaddy led Michigan Center with 16 points and four assists. Michigan Center is now 16-2 overall for the season.

Marshall 69, Northwest 39: Emily Dingee led Marshall with 18, Brooke Carden scored 11 points and Brielle Kelly added 10 points in the road win.

Western 43, Coldwater 32: Western High School remained undefeated in Interstate Eight conference play with the home win. Rayah Hitt tallied 22 points and Bayli Stewart added 13 points for the Panthers.

Jackson Christian 31, Burr Oak 19: Rennie Huff scored 21 points and created four steals and Ella Boll finished with 15 rebounds for Jackson Christian.

Columbia Central 51, Jonesville 48: The Golden Eagles trailed by six points at halftime but regained the lead in the fourth quarter. Gabby Gaydosh finished with 16 points and Kolie Brown added 10 points – including seven in the final eight minutes of action for CCHS. The win clinches the Western Division title for Columbia Central and earns the Golden Eagles a trip to the Cascades Conference final against Grass Lake Saturday at 7 p.m. at Spring Arbor University.

D-1 Hockey Regionals at Munn Ice Arena

Tri-Valley 6, Jackson United 2: Tyler Dwyer and Luke Bergkoetter each scored goals for Jackson United. Alex Chappell finished with 24 saves in net for JU. Jackson finishes the season with a 9-17 overall record.
