Michigan Center 56, Leslie 44: Mayrese Vieau finished with 18 points and five assists to lead Michigan Center. Kara Straub scored 12 points and pulled down eight rebounds and McKynley Gaddy scored nine points and dished eight assists for MCHS (17-2).

Men’s Basketball

Spring Arbor University 79, Bethel 72: The Cougars scored 42 points in the second half for the come-from-behind win over the No. 10 ranked team in the country. Four players scored in double digits as Travis Grayson scored 22 points, Gabe Newhof finished with 19 points, Dante Favor added 14 points, and Kevyn Robertson scored 11 points for SAU.

Mott Community College 72, Jackson College 62: The Jets fell at home to Mott Community College Wednesday night. Jackson College Jackson is now 3-23 overall, 1-11 in Michigan Community College Athletic Association play. The Jets conclude its home season with a 3 p.m. game against Schoolcraft Saturday. Jackson will celebrate Sophomore Day on Saturday.

Women’s Basketball

Spring Arbor University 85, Bethel 59: Alana Nelson scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead SAU. Emma Smieska finished with 14 points and Sydney Aunins added 12 points for the Cougars. SAU is now 18-9 overall, 11-6 in Crossroads League play.

Jackson College 95, Mott CC 41: Four players scored in double digits in the home win Wednesday night. Michelle McGee scored 20 points and dished nine assists, Zoie Bamm scored 15 points, Raven McCray finished with 14 points and Harmonie Bolton scored 13 points for the Jets.
