Boys Basketball

Columbia Central 63, Jonesville 56: Derek Sanders scored 28 points and Nolan Schiel added 13 points for CCHS. Caleb Blonde finished with 29 points to lead Jonesville.

Grass Lake 42, Manchester 15: The defensive machine known as Grass Lake continued its undefeated season with a victory Tuesday night. Brayden Lape scored 22 points and Sal Vitale added seven points for the Warriors.

Jackson 60, Pinckney 43: The Vikings earned a road win in the Southeastern Conference.

Divine Child 69, Lumen Christi 54: The Titans fell on the road in Catholic League action.

Michigan Center 55, Leslie 44 (OT): Jayden Watson had a monster night for the Cardinals with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and seven blocked shots. Spencer Berkeypile added nine points for MCHS. Joel Cranmore finished with 17 points for Leslie.

Homer 59, Vandercook Lake 52: Homer High School earns a Cascades Conference win against Vandercook Lake.

Coldwater 46, Northwest 32: Coldwater remains in first place in the Interstate Eight Conference with the victory. Jackson Reilly scored 20 points for the Cardinals.

Madison 60, Western 46: The Panthers fell in non-conference action Tuesday night.

Napoleon 56, East Jackson 29: Napoleon got defensive in a Cascades Conference win over the Trojans.

Girls Basketball

Bronson 51, Concord 32: Concord lost its first Big Eight Conference game of the season and is now tied with Bronson for the conference lead. Grace Thorrez led the Concord with 12 points and Cieara Barrett added nine points.

Pittsford 42, Jackson Christian 23: Rennie Huff led Jackson Christian with 12 points.

Pinckney 38, Jackson 26: The Vikings lost to Pinckney at home Tuesday night.

Coldwater 63, Northwest 21: The Mounties fell in Interstate Eight Conference action.

Stockbridge 44, Springport 41: Springport lost to Stockbridge breaking the Spartans modest three-game winning streak.

Western 55, Williamston 33: Rayah Hitt scores 23 points going over the 1,000-point mark for her career in the process.

Michigan Center 55, Eaton Rapids 37: Four players scored in double digits for the Cardinals as McKynley Gaddy scored 13 points. Kara Straub added 11 points and Hailey Mees and Mayrese Vieau added 10 points apiece for Michigan Center (14-1).

Hanover-Horton 48, Hillsdale 23: Morgan Kuhl scored 23 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, and created six steals and Molly Soper added 14 points in the non-conference win over Hillsdale.

Competitive Cheer

Cascades Championship at Hanover-Horton: The Comets win its first Cascades Conference championship in competitive cheer sweeping all of the jamborees this season. Here is the order of finish: Hanover-Horton 761 (first); Michigan Center 729 (second); Leslie 657 (third); Jonesville 645 (fourth); Columbia Central 629 (fifth); Grass Lake 606 (sixth); Vandercook Lake 603 (seventh); Addison 599 (eighth); Napoleon 587 (ninth); Homer 532 (10th); and East Jackson 513 (11th).

Boys Bowling

Vandercook Lake 25.5, Hanover-Horton 5: Bruer Gieski rolled a 414 series and Matt Melville finished with a 369 series for the Jayhawks. Elias Wykoff rolled a 201 game and scored a 363 series for Hanover-Horton.

Napoleon 30, Columbia Central 0: Carson Hough rolled a 191 game and Peyton Thorne a 176 game for Napoleon. Zach Schultz rolled a 181 game for CCHS.

Cascades Conference bowling: Here are the top averages in the Cascades Conference: Ethan Rose, Napoleon 214.4; Andrew Sackett, Jonesville, 208.7; Marshall Baker, Jonesville, 204.5; Peyton Thorne, Napoleon, 203.7; Kyle Covey, Jonesville, 202.8; and Bruer Gieski, Vandercook Lake, 197.6.

Girls Bowling

Hanover-Horton 28.5, Vandercook Lake 1.5: Claire McKinney rolled a personal-best 159 for Vandercook Lake. Abby Barba bowled a 193 game to lead all bowlers for Hanover-Horton.

Columbia Central 27, Napoleon 3: Kayleigh Molnar rolled a 328 series and Alexis Henry bowled a 160 game for Columbia Central.

Cascades Conference bowling: Here are the top averages in the Cascades Conference: Marielle Schafran, Grass Lake 185.2; Kylie McKee, Michigan Center 179.5; Harper James, Jonesville, 170.4; Julie Mastenak, Homer 169.7; and Shandi Stark, Grass Lake 165.6.
