Boys Basketball

Columbia Central 73, Homer 45: Derek Sanders scored 20 points and Nolan Schiel added 17 points for CCHS. Homer was led by Kooper Manning with nine points and Caidan Kissinger with eight.

East Jackson 52, Leslie 50: Amaree Padgett scored 18 points and Jake Saunders added 12 points for East Jackson. K.J. Olivier scored the game-winning bucket for the Trojans. Conner Marciniak scored 17 points to lead Leslie.

Hanover-Horton 57, Vandercook Lake 34: Luke Soper scored 19 points and Braylon Sayles added 16 points for the Comets on Senior Night.

Tekonsha 44, Jackson Prep 38: Jackson Prep fell on the road in basketball action.

Michigan Center 64, Manchester 41: Tre Collins scored 19 points, Travis Collins added 14 points, and Henry Wright finished with 10 points for the Cardinals.

Girls Basketball

Columbia Central 69, Homer 42: Gabby Gaydosh led the way for CCHS with a career-high 23 points and Cecelia Slat scored 18 points. Ava Fetterman scored 17 points and Alivia Warner tallied 16 points and seven rebounds for Homer.

Lumen Christi 72, St. Ursula 28: The Titans won the back end of a home-and-home series with St. Ursla. Kenna Hunt scored 25 points, Lucy Wrozek added 16 points, and Kathleen Doane added eight points for Lumen Christi.

Springport 64, Union City 44: Chloey Speer and Ciarra Brock each scored 17 points for the Spartans. Reese Siefert added 16 points and 13 rebounds for Springport.    

Quincy at Concord 34, Quincy 31: Hannah Stimer hit a 3-point basket in the final minute of play lifting Concord to the victory. Grace Thorrez scored 16 points and Stimer and Cieara Barrett each scored eight points for Concord. The Yellow Jackets remain undefeated in the Big Eight Conference at 8-0 and are 12-4 overall.

Competitive Cheer

Western at Dexter Love Cheer Invitational: Western High School finished fifth overall with a score of 616.

Bowling

East Jackson 18, Jonesville 12: East Jackson defeated Jonesville for maybe the first time in school history as Adam Delana rolled a 410 series and Doug Lysher finished with a 243 game.

Coldwater 22, Western 8: Austin Ball finished with game of 212 and 244 for Western.

Girls Bowling

Jonesville 30, East Jackson 0: Lexi Crocker bowled a 140 game for East Jackson.

Western 18, Coldwater 12

Hockey

Sparta 3, Lumen Christi 2: The Titans lost at the MIHL Showcase Thursday night.

Gymnastics

Jackson 134.2, Saline 118.525: Remi Taylor of Napoleon won the vault (8.75) and the floor (9.3). Julia Trapp of Northwest was second on the vault (8.625), Annabelle Beebe of Lumen Christi placed second on the bars (83), and Avah Gaston of Lumen Christi was second on the floor exercise (8.9) for Jackson Area Gymnastics.

Boys Swimming

Jackson Tri-Meet: The Vikings defeated Chelsea and Ypsilanti Community at home Thursday. Colin Moran won the 500-yard freestyle (5:20) and the 200-yard IM (2:13), Logan Koszegi took first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:06), and Dylan Mineweaser took first in the 100-yard freestyle (54.53).
