
Levi Lane of Jackson College knocked in four runs in a 9-8 win over Glen Oaks Thursday for the Jets’ season opener in baseball

Jackson College 9, Glen Oaks CC 8: Levi Lane collected four RBIs as Jackson College earned a come-from-behind win in the season opener at JC. The Jets trailed 5-0 after three innings but scored seven times in the next two innings to take the lead. Lane tripled in the fifth inning scoring two runs and singled in the seventh inning scoring the go-ahead runs. Jaxon Copas and Max Bowers each had a pair of hits for Jackson College. The Jets finished with 11 walks in the nine-inning game. Lucas Dawson earned the pitching win for Jackson striking out five batters in three and one-third innings in relief. The Jets are scheduled to play a doubleheader Friday at Siena Heights beginning at noon. They will also travel to Muskegon Community College Saturday for another doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Jackson is 4-8 on the season.
