East Jackson 3, Lenawee Christian 2: The Trojans scored in the seventh inning at Siena Heights University to earn the win. Jake Saunders struck out 15 batters in seven innings pitched for EJ. Nate Ratliff and Saunders each had hits for the Trojans.

Track and Field

Hanover-Horton at Hillsdale Tri-meet: Zach Hassenzahl won the 400-meter dash (53.35) and Austyn Hocter won the 110-meter hurdles (17.1) for Hanover-Horton in the boys’ meet. Brynlee Swihart won the 300-meter hurdles (56.43) and Hanover-Horton won the 1,600-meter relay (4:43).

College Athletic Events

Baseball

Mott 12, Jackson College 9: Max Bowers hit a pair of home runs and knocked in five runs for Jackson College in the home loss. Blake Borkhardt also homered and knocked in a pair of runs for JC. Noah Atherholt and Jaxon Copas recorded three hits apiece for the Jets. Jackson College travels to Schoolcraft College for a nine-inning game beginning at 1 p.m.
