BASEBALL

Cascades Conference Championship, Grass Lake vs Columbia Central:

Grass Lake 5, Columbia Central 2 – Cam Prater and Colin Knight each had two hits to lead the Warriors, and Knight also earned the pitching win.

Grass Lake 5, Columbia Central 2 – Luke Guthrie batted 3-for-5 to lead GL. Grass Lake wins the Cascades Conference championship for the 5th straight year and improves to 29-4 overall.

Bronson 7, Concord 0

Concord 11, Bronson 10 – Concord scored five runs in the 7th inning to split the conference doubleheader. Dustin Hamilton batted 3-for-4 for the Yellowjackets.

Springport 7, Maple Valley 3 – Hunter Miller batted 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead the Spartans. Drew Sanford earned the pitching victory.

Springport 5, Maple Valley 4 – A walk off RBI single from Travis Riehle won game two for Springport. SHS sweeped the doubleheader and improved to 23-3 overall.

SOFTBALL

Cascades Conference Championship, Grass Lake vs Columbia Central:

Grass Lake 6, Columbia Central 4 – Two runs in the 6th inning helped GL win game one at home Friday. Emily Brown, Makenzie Hilberer and Kennedy Collins each had two hits for the Warriors.

Grass Lake 16, Columbia Central 1 – Emily Brown and Morgan Conrad each had four hits to help the Warriors dominate in game two. GL sweeps the doubleheader and wins the Cascades Conference championship for the 5th straight year and improves to 30-4 overall.

Western 11, Okemos 0 – Bayli Stewart, Kenadee Golas, and Anna Benn each had two hits for the Panthers. Freshman Amber Gregory earned the pitching win.

Western 14, Okemos 11 – Amber Gregory drove in five runs in the second game to lead the Panthers. Audrina Bisonet added four hits to sweep the non-conference doubleheader.

Springport 23, Maple Valley 0 – Devan Lowe, Ashlyn Underhill and Mae Martin each had two hits for the Spartans.

Springport 21, Maple Valley 1 – SHS improves to 23-9 overall, earning two Big 8 wins.
