BASEBALL
Lumen Christi 15, Columbia Central 0: It was a battle between two top-10 teams in Division 3 at LCHS on Monday. The Titans scored 11 runs in the first inning to take a four-inning mercy rule win. Six different players batted two hits for LC, they batted 13 total hits in the four innings. LC improves to 14-7 overall. Game two was postponed due to weather.
Hanover Horton 18, Addison 3: Blake Griffis batted 3-4 with an RBI to lead the Comets. Cameron Sherwood and Levi Bradley each added two hits. Game two was postponed due to weather.
(8 inn.) Michigan Center 5, Parma Western 4: Miles Stewart and Hunter Frederickson each batted two hits for the Cardinals. A sacrifice fly from Davin DeLise helped score the winning run in the 8th inning. MC improves to 10-10 overall.

SOFTBALL
Columbia Central 4, Lumen Christi 0: Just like the baseball matchup, both teams came in ranked top-10 in Division 3. Hailey Wetherby’s powerful pitching performance led the Golden Eagles in the single game. The Akron commit threw 13 strikeouts in seven innings, allowing four hits. Six different players combined for CC’s six hits. CC is still undefeated and is now 17-0.
Hanover Horton 10, Addison 0: Six runs were scored by the Comets in the first inning to help propel them to a win in game one. Ava Smith, Amanda Ley, and Holly Zantop each batted two hits for HH, Ley also earned the win in the circle. HH is now 12-7, game two was suspended in the third inning due to weather.
Parma Western 7, Michigan Center 4: Amber Gregory threw 13 strikeouts in the circle to lead the Panthers in game one. Three different players batted two hits for Western. PWHS improves to 11-9 overall.

Parma Western 7, BC Harper Creek 1: The Panthers defeated 2nd place Harper Creek to take the I-8 conference title. They finish conference play at 6-0 and move to 14-3-1 overall. Western faces #6 Chelsea in a rematch at home on Thursday.
SMITL League Tournament at Hillsdale: Columbia Central placed 3rd behind Bronson and Lansing Christian at the league meet in Hillsdale.
