BASEBALL

Columbia Central 5, Leslie 3 – After 12 innings (5 extra), Columbia Central won it on a walkoff to outlast the Blackhawks in game one. Conor Rentfrow hit the winning 2 run-home run for CCHS, finishing 4-for-6 with 4 RBIs and striking out 11 batters on the mound.

Columbia Central 2, Leslie 1 – Chase Dukate batted 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Golden Eagles. CCHS improves to 17-5 overall.

Hanover Horton 13, East Jackson 3 – Jack Wooster batted 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs to lead the Comets, and also struck out seven batters pitching.

Hanover Horton 8, East Jackson 3 – Wooster continued his exceptional day in game two, batting 4-for-5 with 2 RBIs. HH improves to 18-10 and hosts Vandercook Lake next on Wednesday.

Grass Lake 7, Homer 1 – Luke Guthrie and Jacob Collins each batted 3-for-4 for the Warriors.

Grass Lake 7, Homer 2 – Brayden Wayne led the Warriors’ bats with three hits to help sweep the doubleheader. Brayden Lape earned the pitching win as GL improved to an incredible 17-1 start.

SOFTBALL

Pinckney 15, Jackson 0

Hanover Horton 16, East Jackson 0 – Ava Smith led the way for the Comets, batting 3-for-3 with 4 RBIs. Bryn BIela, Hallee Swihart, and Alexyn DuBois each had two hits for HH. DuBois also threw a no-hitter in the circle.

Hanover Horton 16, East Jackson 0 – Alexyn DuBois continued her excellent play with three hits in game two. Hallee Swihart also tallied three hits with three RBIs. HH improves to 20-3 and hosts Vandercook Lake next on Wednesday.

Columbia Central 16, Leslie 0 – Kelsey Fausz led the Golden Eagles, batting 3-for-3. Gianna Evans and Raell Bice each added two hits.

Columbia Central 12, Leslie 2 – Camden Knapp struck out nine batters for CCHS. Knapp and Kelsey Fausz also added two hits as CC improved to 19-1.

Michigan Center 6, Hanover Horton 0 – Cecelia Scaife scores 3 goals and an assist to lead the Cardinals.

Jackson Christian at Mendon (Cedar Lake GC): Aiden Earnst of JCHS finished 5th, shooting a 42 at Cedar Lake.

BOYS – Jackson finished 1-0-1, defeating Tecumseh and tying with Ypsilanti.

GIRLS – Jackson fell to both THS and Ypsilanti.
