BASEBALL
Columbia Central 10, Homer 0 – Six runs in the 4th inning helped CC control game one. Four different Golden Eagles tallied two hits.
Columbia Central 11, Homer 1 – Lukas Calhoun led CC, batting 2-for-3 with an RBI. The Golden Eagles improve to 19-5 overall.
Hanover Horton 17, Vandercook Lake 2 – Jack Wooster dominated at the plate, batting 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs for HH. Luke Soper added two hits and three RBIs.
Hanover Horton 9, Vandercook Lake 0 – HHHS scored all nine runs in the first inning. The Comets improve to 16-10.
Michigan Center 3, East Jackson 2 – Levi Layher batted 3-for-4 to lead the Cardinals. The pitching helped MC outduel the Trojans in game one.
Michigan Center 8, East Jackson 5 – Miles Stewart batted 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs for MCHS.
Grass Lake 9, Manchester 3 – Luke Guthrie led the hits for GL with three. Dustin Paul earned the pitching win, striking out eight batters.
Grass Lake 16, Manchester 1 – Sal Vitale led the Warriors, batting 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs. Gavin Killinger and Cam Prater each added two hits, GL improved to 19-1.
Napoleon 10, Leslie 6 – Grant Straub and AJ Buckley each had three hits to lead the Pirates.

SOFTBALL
Hanover Horton 16, Vandercook Lake 0 – Ava Smith and Hallee Swihart each had three hits for the Comets. Alexyn DuBois allowed just one hit pitching.
Hanover Horton 17, Vandercook Lake 0 – Amanda Ley threw a no-hitter for HHHS as they improved to 22-3 overall.
Homer 9, Columbia Central 2
Columbia Central 13, Homer 3 – Gabby Gaydosh, Hailey Wetherby, and Rylee Knapp each had two hits for CC. CCHS is now 20-2, joining Grass Lake and Hanover Horton at the top of the Cascades Conference.
Michigan Center 15, East Jackson 0 – Jaidyn Fulk and Kylie McKee each had three hits to lead the Cardinals.
Grass Lake 10, Manchester 0 – Bree Salts led with three hits for the Warriors. Emily Brown, Nadene Hubbard, and Kennedy Collins each added two hits.
Grass Lake 11, Manchester 1 – Emily Brown led the way for GL in game two. The Hope College commit batted 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs, Mackenzie Hilberer added three hits as well. The Warriors improve to 21-3.
Napoleon 15, Leslie 2 – The bats were hot for Napoleon in the opening game, nine different Pirates had a hit. Kaitlyn Fall earned the pitching win.
Leslie 10, Napoleon 8 – Three runs by the Blackhawks in the 7th inning helped them rally to split the Cascades-East doubleheader.
Lumen Christi 6, Marian 1 – Strong pitching propelled the Titans in the Catholic League matchup. Bella Wrozek had 11 strikeouts in the first game. Laney Barancin and Lucy Wrozek had 2 hits apiece.
Lumen Christi 7, Marian 0 – Ollie Powers kept it rolling in game 2 with 15 strikeouts. Bree Okoniewski led the offense with 3 hits and 2 RBI’s. The Titans head to the Catholic League playoffs as the #1 seed with a 10-2 league record.

Napoleon 3, Jonesville 0 – Elle Naylor led the Pirates with two goals and an assist, Lily Eagen scored the other goal.

Jackson College at NJCAA Region XII Championship (Bedford Valley):
Jackson finished in 7th place as a team in the regional championship. Eric Bonser finished 12th overall, shooting an 82, 75, and 77 between the three rounds.

Concord, Reading at Springport: Concord defeated both teams in both boys and girls. Springport went 0-2 in both. Bradie Lehman set a PR in the 200-meter dash for Concord, and also won the 100-meter race.
