BOYS SOCCER REGIONAL SEMIFINAL

Division 3 at Williamston:

Frankenmuth 3, Columbia Central 1: The Golden Eagles’ season came to a close on Tuesday night in the regional semifinal. CC finishes the season at 17-6-1 with a conference and district championship.

BOYS TENNIS STATE FINALS

Division 4 at Midland Tennis Center: TJ O’Neil fell in the quarterfinals round at #2 singles for the Lumen Christi Titans. Jason Gonerka lost in the championship to Edwin Seo of Berrien Springs. In doubles matches, Gabe Cooper & Chase Schirmacher lost in the #1 flight in the semifinals. Luke DuMont and Maden Brady fell in the #2 doubles flight. Both Holden Luce & Brogan Kelly (#3) and Theo McEldowney & Nolan Curtis (#4) fell in the championship match. Lumen Christi finishes the season at 22-3-4 and ranked top five in the state.

VOLLEYBALL

Hanover Horton 3, Leslie 0: The Comets earned another sweep and a Cascades road victory on Tuesday. HH is now 35-1-1 and ranked #5 in the state for Division 3 this week.

Columbia Central 3, East Jackson 0: Mara Henry led the Golden Eagles in kills with 8. Cecelia Slat added 9 digs and 1 ace. Alison Richardson ran the offense with 13 assists, 6 digs, 4 aces and 5 kills. CC is now 21-13 on the year.

Napoleon 3, Vandercook Lake 0: Elle VanPoppel led the Pirates with 11 kills, they are now 22-11-3 overall.
