Top four finishers were Mason Thurber of Springport was second at 106 pounds; Shamus O’Hearon was also second for the Spartans at 113 pounds; Owen Thomas of SHS finished second at 120 pounds; Jacob Potter won the title for Springport at 126; Trenton Hamilton of Springport was second at 132 pounds; Tanner Severns of SHS was third at 138; Kaden Sizemore of Springport placed second at 150 pounds; Brendan Barrett of Springport was third at 165 pounds; and Spartan Trevor Gilchrist was third at 190 pounds.
Jackson at SEC Final: Jackson finished 10th in the 14-team event at Ann Arbor Pioneer. Zander Resor was second for Jackson at 144 pounds and Shea Haehnle of Jackson placed third at 175 pounds.
Lumen Christi hosts CHSL Tournament: Lumen Christi finished eighth in the 17-team conference event. Top four finishers for the Titans were Brady Mead, who was third at 120 and Hayden Rhinehart finished fourth at 190 pounds.
I-8 Championships at Northwest: Northwest High School finished third and Western fourth in the Interstate Eight Conference final at NWHS. Top four finishers for Jackson County teams were Hezekiah Gin of Western was fourth at 106 pounds; Isaac Eriksen of Western placed third at 113; Thomas Fall of Northwest placed third at 126; Evan Beuerle of Northwest was runner-up at 132; Tobin Sheley of Northwest placed fourth at 138 pounds; Blaine Anspaugh of Northwest was first and Sukhman Singh of Western was third at 144 pounds; Jack Edwards of Northwest won the conference title at 150 pounds; Juan Asta of Northwest was first and Dexter Videto of Western third at 157 pounds; Titan Parker won the championship at 165 pounds for Western and Parker Lingren of Northwest was fourth; Adam Carlson of Western won the title at 175 pounds and Romeo Gibson of Northwest was fourth; Josh Corts of Western placed third at 190 pounds; Zach Sussex of Northwest finished fourth at 215 pounds; and Aidyn Williams of Northwest and Max Harris of Western were third and fourth respectively at 285 pounds.
Miss K Memorial Wrestling (Girls): Peyton Huston won the title at 145 pounds for Columbia Central. Bella Huston was second at 190 pounds and Raeli Bice was third at 120 pounds for CCHS. Aleah Gillett of Hanover-Horton placed fourth at 235 pounds and teammate Drew Swihart was fifth at 130.
Competitive Cheer
Hillsdale Invitational: Addison finished third (615), Napoleon placed fifth (569) and Homer seventh (548) at Hillsdale in the Hustle at the Hive event.
Chelsea Invitational: Grass Lake finished second (582) and Springport third (559) in the Division 3 competition.
Pennfield Invitational: Western High School finished sixth in the varsity competition with 541.
Hockey
Chelsea 6, Jackson United 2: Tyler Dwyer and Peyton Paquin scored for Jackson United. Jonah Hughes finished with 25 saves in net for JU.
Lumen Christi 6, Grosse Pointe South 1: Josh DuMont scored a pair of goals as the Titans won in the second round of the MIHL Tournament.

Men’s Basketball
Grace 90, Spring Arbor 76: Four players scored in double digits led by Kevyn Robertson with 18 points and Gabe Newhof, Shane Rykse, and Travis Grayson with 13 points apiece. The Cougars are now 14-8 overall, 6-6 in Crossroads League action.
Macomb CC 89, Jackson College 67: Savonn Campbell scored 35 points and Joshua Christian added 11 points for Jackson College (2-19 overall, 0-7 MCCAA). The Jets will host Oakland Community College Wednesday beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Women’s Basketball
Jackson 82, Macomb CC 46: The Jets scored 24 points in the first quarter – including the first six points of the game – on their way to the victory. All 12 players scored for Jackson College as Kaylona Butler scored 25 points and Zoie Bamm added 15 points. The Jets are now 16-5 overall, 6-1 in conference action. Jackson College hosts Oakland CC beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Spring Arbor 67, Grace 53: Megan Zeitz scored 22 points, Alana Nelson added 14 points, and Sydney Aunins finished with 11 points for SAU (15-7 overall, 8-4 conference).
Bowling
Jackson College at Montcalm Invitational: Jackson College wrapped up West Division Conference titles in both men’s and women’s bowling over the weekend. Jackson Kremer rolled a 633 series and Tobyn LePeak finished with a 610 series to lead the men. In the women’s event Abby Gutowski and Kaelin Pond both rolled 521 series to lead Jackson. The Jets have won their division in both men’s and women’s bowling the last five seasons. Jackson will compete in the MCCAA Conference Championship Friday at Merri Bowl Lanes in Livonia starting at 9 a.m.
Spring Arbor at Crossroads League Championship: Both Spring Arbor teams advanced to the stepladder portion of the tournament before losing to Marian – the eventual champions in both men’s and women’s bowling.
