Columbia Central 69, Addison 28: Derek Sanders scored 19 points to become Columbia Central’s all-time leading scorer surpassing Charles Richardson. He now has 1,188 points for the Golden Eagles. Logan Fowler added 13 points for CCHS. Quincy Smith scored 16 points for Addison.
East Jackson 50, Morenci 40: East Jackson earned a non-conference road win Friday night.
Jackson Christian 58, Litchfield 35: J.D. Locke scored 15 points and Caleb Lanham added nine points for the Royal in the home win Friday.

Concord 71, Maple Valley 38: The Yellow Jackets were successful on Snowcoming Night. Brady Garrett scored 20 points, Connor Stevens added 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Darrell Dean added 14 points for Concord (8-7 overall).
Okemos 58, Western 45: Maverick Hammond score 18 points for Western in the non-conference game Friday night.
Lumen Christi 64, Sacred Heart 42: Ashton Callan finished with 20 points and Kash Kalahar scored 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Titans.
Chelsea 46, Jackson 34: The Vikings lost at home in Southeastern Conference action Friday night.
Reading at Springport 69, Reading 51: Dallas Higelmire scored 12 points and Jake Kregel finished with 12 points and eight assists for Springport. Tucker Wiginton added 10 points for the Spartans.
Jackson Prep 75, Factoryville Christian 35: Jackson Prep is now 6-3 on the season with the road win.
Pennfield 53, Northwest 42: The Mounties fell on the road in Interstate Eight Conference action.
Girls Basketball
Grass Lake 52, East Jackson 38: Kate Starkey scored 24 points and created three steals in the contest. She broke the school record for most steals in a career with 241. Reese Lape scored eight points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Warriors.
Hanover-Horton 44, Homer 27: The Comets earned a road win in the Cascades Conference Friday night. Molly Soper scored 18 points and Amanda Ley added 12 points for HHHS. Alivia Warner scored 11 points to lead Homer.
Gabriel Richard 54, Lumen Christi 40: Kenna Hunt scored 19 points and Lucy Wrozek added 10 points for the Titans.
Michigan Center 49, Napoleon 31: The two teams were tied at 4-all in the first quarter before Michigan Center went on an 18-0 run. Mayrese Vieau scored 13 points and Hailey Mees added 12 points for Michigan Center (10-1).
Western 53, Edison 48: The Panthers scored 23 points in the third quarter breaking open a low-scoring contest. Rayah Hitt finished with 15 points, Aubree Allen tallied 14 points, and Bayli Stewart added 13 points for Western.
Northwest 41, Pennfield 20: The Mounties broke a three-game winning streak with the Interstate Eight Conference win on the road Friday.

Ovid-Elsie Girls Invitational: Top four Jackson County finishers in the 47-team event included McKenna Worthing from East Jackson who was fourth at 125 pounds; Drew Swihart of Hanover-Horton was third at 135 pounds; and Bella Huston of Columbia Central was second at 190 pounds.

Northwest at Gull Lake Invitational: Northwest High School finished second in the Division 2 event with 653 points.
Boys Bowling
Grass Lake 19, Napoleon 11: Ethan Rose bowled a 246 game and Nolan Williams added a 200 game for Napoleon.

Crossroads League #3 at JAX 60: Spring Arbor won the men’s competition with 5,615 and was second in the women’s scoring 5,253. SAU bowler Carson Kohler won the men’s individual title with a 709 and Kayla Tafanelli won the women’s competition scoring a 685 series.

Concord 49, Lenawee Christian 32: Concord earned a big non-conference win on the road Saturday as Bradie Lehman scored 19 points. Grace Thorrez and Cieara Barrett each scored 13 points for Concord (11-2 overall).

Grass Lake Invitational: Jackson finished third overall, Columbia Central was fourth, Grass Lake took 10th place, Hanover-Horton was 15th, and Concord 19th. Top six Jackson County wrestlers were Andrew Anderson of Jackson who was fifth at 157 pounds; Shea Haehnle of Jackson won the title at 175 pounds; Austyn Hocter won the championship at 190 pounds and Tayshawn Smith-Grove was fifth; Jayden Roy placed fourth at 215 pounds; Dylan Boone of Columbia Central defeated Curtis Winters of Jackson at 285 pounds and Reed Matthews of Hanover-Horton was fourth; Aiden Johnson of Grass Lake was fourth and Logan Clay of Jackson fifth at 106 pounds; Christian Millican of Columbia Central finished sixth at 113 pounds; Brandon Rohde of Grass Lake was second and Max Videto of Columbia Central fourth at 120 pounds; Nathan Ostrosky of CCHS was third at 126 pounds; teammate Jordan Cromwell finished second at 132 pounds; Aiden Durham of Grass Lake was second and Elijah Losey of Columbia Central fifth at 138 pounds; and Hunter Czubachowski of Columbia Central and Zander Resor of Jackson were second and third respectively at 144 pounds in the 19-team event.
Lumen Christi at Portage Invitational: Brady Mead finished sixth at 125 pounds; Colin Woycehoski was also sixth at 150 pounds; James Hart finished sixth at 165 pounds; and Hayden Rhinehart placed fourth at 190 pounds for the Titans.
Leslie Invitational: Manchester won the event, Napoleon was sixth, and Springport was seventh. Jackson County wrestlers in the top six in their respective weight classes were: Mason Thurber of Springport defeated teammate Brody Birchfield for first place at 106 and Izayah Scott finished third; Shamus O’Hearon of Springport and teammate Josh Jordan were fifth and sixth respectively at 113; Logan Hartman of Napoleon finished second at 126 pounds; Trenton Hamilton of Springport was sixth at 132 pounds; Tanner Severns of Springport placed sixth at 138 pounds; Kaden Sizemore of Springport finished third at 150 pounds; Brendan Barrett of Springport was fifth at 165 pounds; Zack Bamm of Napoleon took third place at 175; Brady Warner won the title for Napoleon at 190 pounds; Dallas Smith of Napoleon finished fourth at 215 pounds; and Jamarcus Goodloe of Napoleon took third place at 285 pounds.
BC Central Invitational: Western High School finished ninth and Marshall 13th at the 17-team event. Elijah Crist of Western High School finished fifth at 126 pounds earning his 100th varsity win in the process; Sukhman Singh of Western finished fifth at 144 pounds; Titan Parker of Western won the title at 165 pounds; teammates Adam Carlson was second and Josh Corts sixth at 175 pounds; Joseph Judy of Marshall was fifth at 215 pounds; teammate Harland Begg was second at 285 pounds and Max Harris of Western finished fifth.
Elijah Crist earned his 100th varsity wrestling win for Western High School Saturday.

Michigan Center Cardinal Invitational: Hanover-Horton finished second in the Division 4 competition with a score of 751. Homer finished 13th (567) and Concord was 14th (544) in the event that featured a number of top 10 teams in the state in Division 4. Onsted won the Divisions 2/3 competition scoring 737, Michigan Center was second scoring 714 and Columbia Central placed sixth at 579.
Napoleon Invitational: Vandercook Lake won the Division 4 competition with 632, Napoleon was third at 600, and Springport sixth scoring 531.
Bowling
Mel Wolf Invitational (Girls) at JAX 60: Northwest was fourth and Grass Lake finished eighth in the qualifying rounds to make the stepladder. Both teams lost to Holt in the stepladder portion of the tournament. Lumen Christi finished 16th and Michigan Center 17th in the qualifying rounds. New Boston Huron defeated Holt in the finals to earn the title.
Hockey
Traverse City West 3, Jackson United 2: Jackson United lost in the second round of the Lenawee United Showcase Tournament Saturday. Nick Baumgardner and Brennan Forward scored for JU in the contest. Dylan Foster finished with 23 saves in net for Jackson.
College Athletic Events
Men’s Basketball
Spring Arbor 68, Mount Vernon 62: Four players scored in double digits for SAU in the Crossroads League road win. Gabe Newhof scored 20 points, Travis Grayson tallied 14, Kevyn Robertson added 13 points, and Shane Rykse finished with 11 points for SAU (14-6 overall, 6-4 CL).
Mott 90, Jackson College 59: Cooper Johnston scored 17 points to pace Jackson College. Savonn Campbell tallied 12 points and Bobby Roberts added 10 points for JC (2-17 overall, 0-5 MCAA). Jackson College travels to Schoolcraft Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. start.
Women’s Basketball
Spring Arbor 80, Mt. Vernon 75: The Cougars outscored Mt. Vernon 44-38 in the second half earning the come-from-behind road win. Alana Nelson scored 25 points and Megan Zeitz added 19 points for SAU (14-6 overall, 7-3 (CL).
Jackson College 89, Mott Community College 51: Four players scored in double digits for Jackson College led by Kaylona Butler and Zoie Bamm with 19 points apiece. Michelle McGee added 12 points and four steals and Olivia McDavid tallied 11 points for Jackson College (14-5 overall, 4-1 MCCAA). JC travels to Schoolcraft College Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
Bowling
Jackson College at Kellogg Invitational: Both teams won titles at the M-66 event in Battle Creek Friday. Mason Keene finished with high game (269) and high series (693) for Jackson taking the men’s crown. Tobyn LePeak was third overall with a 601 series and a 243 game. Sydney Nichols won the individual event in the women’s competition with a 590 series and a 221 game. Chloe Manifold was second overall with a 583 series and 211 game for JC. The Jets travel to the Montcalm Invitational next Friday at 11 a.m.
