Division 3 at Grass Lake
Lumen Christi 59, Grass Lake 52: Kenna Hunt finished with 24 points and Lucy Wrozek added 22 points for LCCHS. The Titans advance to play Leslie Monday in the regional semifinal at Springport beginning at 7 p.m. Grass Lake concludes the season with a Cascades Conference title and a 19-4 overall record.

Division 4 at Litchfield
Concord 56, Jackson Christian 23: Bradie Lehman led Concord with 20 points, Cieara Barrett finished with 14 points, and Grace Thorrez scored 11 points for Concord. The Yellow Jackets (19-4) face Portland St. Patrick (17-6) at home Monday in the regional semifinal. Mendon (12-10) faces Reading (14-10) at 7 p.m. Rennie Huff finished with 10 points for Jackson Christian (15-9).
Gymnastics
JAG at MHSAA Team Final: JAG finished 12th in the state with a team score 130.775. Ava Gaston finished 21st in the vault (8.4) and 20th in the bars (8.175) for Jackson. Annabelle Beebe was 13th in Division 2 in the all-around with a score of 25.175.

SUNY Niagara 13, Jackson College 2: Braylen Montgomery had a hit and knocked in a run for Jackson College.
SUNY Niagara 4, Jackson College 0: Jackson College concludes it Florida trip with a 3-5 record. Deshawn Williams had the only two hits for the Jets in the contest. The Jets are scheduled to host Glen Oaks Community College Thursday at 3 p.m. for its home opener.
Women’s Basketball
Jackson College 86, Lakeland 65: Jackson College defeated Lakeland in the District C State Semifinal at Mott Community College Friday. The Jets play Mid Michigan College today (Sunday) at MCC at 11 a.m. for a chance to advance to the national tournament for a second consecutive season. Four players scored in double figures as Michelle McGee scored 18 points with five assists and six steals. Zoey Bamm tallied 18 points and 18 rebounds, Kaylona Butler finished with 12 points and Hannah Lozano scored 10 points for Jackson. Nine of the 10 players on the roster scored for JC.

MHSAA Gymnastics Finals at Kenowa Hills: Eight Jackson County athletes participated in the Michigan High School Athletic Association state individual finals Saturday at Kenowa Hills High School north of Grand Rapids. Bella Janiga of Columbia Central – representing Tecumseh – earned a medal by finishing ninth on the floor exercise with a score of 9.325 in Division 1. She finished 14th in the all-around with a score of 35.825. Emma Paquin of Western was 19th in the all-around with a score of 34.8 and was 19th in the floor exercise scoring 9.15. Claire Kalahar of Jackson Area Gymnastics was 17th in the Division 2 beam competition (8.825) and Avah Gaston of JAG finished 18th in the D-1 vault (8.95).

National Championship Teams Announced: Spring Arbor University is one of 12 teams who will compete in the NAIA National Championship March 20-22 at 4 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Mich. The Cougars were the Crossroads League regular season champions in 2025. SAU is making its fourth appearance in the championship.

Mid Michigan College 62, Jackson College 56: Jackson College was outscored 22-9 in the final quarter at the Great Lakes District C championship game at Mott Community College. Kaylona Butler led Jackson College with 21 points, Emily Carbajal added 13 points, and Zoie Bamm tallied 10 points and 14 rebounds. JC finishes the season with a 24-7 overall record, 13-1 in conference action.
