East Jackson 3, Vermontville Maple Valley 2: The Trojans rallied to win the last three sets including a 15-12 win in the fifth for a Big 8 victory.

Jackson Christian 3, Waldron 0: Zoey Beck had 10 assists and 4 aces to help lead the Royals. Abbie Huff added 6 kills and 5 aces, and Gabby Guerrero tallied five aces.

Michigan Center Jamboree at Lakeland Hills: The host Cardinals took first place as a team by just three shots over Napoleon on Tuesday, MC shot a team total of 208. Katelyn Ault of the Pirates led the match individually with a round of 44, and teammate Avery Rhodes tied for fourth with a 50. Mallory Gilson of MC and Maddy Truax of Columbia Central tied for second with a 49.

CROSS COUNTRY

Big 8 at Union City: Concord placed second in the boys race in the conference jamboree on Tuesday. Aidan Bradley and Owen Sanford placed top ten for Springport. The Yellowjackets dominated the girls race, Audrey Pyle won individually with a time of 21:18 and Haley Stimer placed second.

Cascades-North at Manchester: Grass Lake placed second in both the girls and boys race in the north division jamboree. Connor Boteler placed third with a time of 17:41, and freshman Avery Jones placed fourth for the Warriors.

Cascades-South at Hanover-Horton: The host Comets won the boys race with Cooper Flick taking first with a leading time of 15:29. Additionally, Cooper Flick’s time of 15:29.3 makes him the second fastest of all time in Hanover-Horton history. Both the Comets of HH and Jonesville placed the entire top ten individually. Maisey Toteff won the girls race for HH with a time of 19:36, and teammate Brynlee Swihart placed second. Freshman Ayva Berkeypile took fourth for Napoleon.
