VOLLEYBALL

Parma Western 3, Marshall 2: The Panthers and 7th-ranked Marshall brought plenty of intensity to their I8 rivalry matchup on Wednesday evening. With a loud crowd behind them, the Panthers battled back to win in five sets at home on Cancer Awareness Night. Marshall won the fourth set to force a fifth, and Western won it 15-10. Madi Redovich helped lead the Panthers with 50 assists, 12 digs and a block. Ella Wilcox added 22 kills, 4 aces, 4 blocks, and 12 digs. Georgia Addleman tallied 19 kills, 13 digs and a block. Western continues its unbeaten season at 21-0 overall and is ranked #4 in Division 2 this week.

I-8 Conference Championship: Western placed fourth as a team in the conference championship at Cedar Creek GC on Wednesday, and Northwest placed sixth. Bailey Krutsch placed 15th to lead the Mounties with a 97. Jillian Barnes led Western with a 98, tying for 16th place.
