VOLLEYBALL

Parma Western 3, Hastings 0: The Panthers pick up another conference win in straight sets to stay undefeated, now at 22-0 this season. Ella Wilcox led the Panthers with 15 kills, 5 aces and 4 digs. Madi Redovich added 29 assists and 5 digs.

 

Spring Arbor Univ. 3, Goshen 1: The Cougars improve to 14-4 on the season. Alexis Remtema helped lead the way with 11 kills and 6 blocks. Camy Wedge added 21 assists and 8 digs.

 

BOYS/MENS SOCCER

Columbia Central 1, Manchester 0: The Golden Eagles have now won the Cascades Conference title for the third straight year with the road win. Auden Kennedy scored the only goal for CC, they improve to 

 

Michigan Center 4, Leslie 3: Gavin Shuster scored the eventual game-winning goal for the Cardinals, earning a conference win at home. Joey Mays scored two goals, and Cayne Hays had 11 saves in the net. MC breaks a three-game losing streak and gets their first win since September 9th. The two teams will meet again for their second match at Leslie HS next week.

 

Grass Lake 2, Jonesville 1: Ethan Larsen and Emanuel Kongste scored for the Warriors as they wrapped up conference play with a home win. GL finishes conference play with a 7-1-2 record, they travel to Tecumseh next Wednesday.

 

Spring Arbor Univ. 2, Huntington 2: The Cougars tied the game with a second half goal to end in a draw. Pedro Rosa and Micah Vasey scored for SAU, they are now 8-1-3 overall.

WOMEN’S SOCCER

Spring Arbor Univ. 5, Huntington 0: Claire VanZanten led the Cougars with three goals in a conference win on the road. Cadence Williams and Gracie Beld had two assists each. SAU is now 8-2-1 overall.

 

GIRLS GOLF

Cascades Conference Final: Michigan Center and Grass Lake tied for first, both with team totals of 398 at Ella Sharp Park GC. The Cardinals would claim first place alone to win the conference title. Mallory Gilson of MC won individually with a round of 88. Napoleon’s Avery Rhodes shot a 91, and Katelyn Ault carded a 94 to finish second and third.

 

LMIGG Final: East Jackson finished second as a team in the league final on Wednesday. Haley Stimer of Concord won the match individually, shooting a round of 48. Teammate Mya Barrett placed second with a 49. Rachael McArthur of EJ placed fifth with a 57.
