(March 22, 2022 8:42 AM) The Jackson Civil War Muster today announced the event is returning this summer and will be celebrating 35 years on August 27th and 28th, 2022. This year, the event will be returning to  Cascades Park, its original home for more than 30 years.  The Muster had moved to Ella Sharp Park in 2018 and 2019 and was suspended during COVID. Under the leadership of the organization’s new President, Maurice Imhoff, the planning team announced there will be several  new additions to the event. Tripp’s Auto Shop & Collision Center has committed  $50,000 to help support the event for the next two years.   “It is safe to say that people, organizations and businesses are excited to have the event return!” said Imhoff.

The Jackson Muster is the largest, longest running Civil War event in the Midwest, welcoming people of all ages. Each year, this free event draws 25,000 to 30,000 fans from throughout Michigan, Canada, and destinations as far as Sweden! We encourage visitors to interact with living historians by stepping back in time into the village of Jacksonburg, and to experience the extravagant military ball, as well as witness the excitement of two battles with raging cannons and marching infantry. The event will continue to stay free to the public.
