(12-6-2024, 9:50PM): Michigan Center scored another big win against conference rival Napoleon on Friday night, winning on the road 57-25 versus the Pirates.
The Cardinals scored the first seven points of the game, including two three-pointers from Travis Collins. Michigan Center jumped out to a big lead, leading 15-3 with 2:40 left in the opening quarter. MC led 18-5 after the first quarter.
Five different Cardinals scored in the first half. MC outscored the Pirates just 11-8 in the second quarter as they led 29-13 at the halftime break.
Michigan Center again jumped out to a quick start to open the second half, scoring eight points in the first two and a half minutes. Jayden Watson was the driver seat for MC in the third, scoring 10 of his 14 points in the quarter as they outscored the Pirates 18-7 to increase a big lead to 47-20.
The Cardinals would go on to a big 57-25 Cascades-East victory over Napoleon on Friday night. Travis Collins led Michigan Center with 20 points, and Jayden Watson added 14 points. Napoleon was led by Brenten Owen with 11 points and Tyler Nall added 9.
Michigan Center improves to 2-1 so far in the 2024-25 season and will travel to Addison next on Wednesday (12/11). Napoleon falls to 2-1 and will travel to Morenci next on Monday (12/9).
