(11-7-2025): Hanover Horton claimed its first district title in school history in dramatic fashion over Bronson on Friday night, scoring two touchdowns in the last minute of the game to win 20-12.

Right away the Bronson Vikings got an explosive 37 yard offensive play on a Reid Stukey run. Bronson decided to go for it on 4th & 16 and resulted in an interception by Austyn Hocter, who took it back over 80 yards to score, giving the Comets the early 6-0 lead with the pick-six.

With 2:31 left in the first half, Bronson QB Spenser Losinski heaved a ball deep to Dalton Hoard who got behind the Comet defense for a 39 yard TD to knot the game up at 6. Between both teams, three turnovers were committed in the last two minutes to end the first half.

To open up the 3rd quarter, Bronson recovered an onside kick getting the ball on Hanover Horton’s 46 yard line. On a 3rd and 17 from the Comets 21-yd line, Losinski fired a strike to Devin Stuart for 20 yards. Then from the 1 yard line, Losinski took it himself for the TD to take the lead 12-6.

Following 4 punts and 2 turnovers, Hanover Horton got the ball back trailing by 6 with 1:53 left to play. Just moments later a miracle happened, with 1:20 remaining Hocter took the snap and flushed out of the pocket, fumbled the ball, but scooped it back up and launched a pass downfield to a wide open Griffiths who found his way into the endzone to cap off a miraculous play. AJ Fielder caught the pass on the 2pt conversion to take a sudden 14-12 lead with under a minute left.

Bronson got the ball back with 45 seconds left only down at their 48 yard line after a good return by Whittaker. Austyn Hocter put an end to the Vikings hope after picking off Losinski again and taking it 70 yards to the house to ice the game.

Hanover Horton claimed its first district title in school history with a 20-12 win over the Bronson Vikings. Austyn Hocter threw a 70 yd TD pass and scored on two 70+ yard pick sixes.

Kolin Griffiths scored a touchdown and had 2 interceptions on defense, including the game sealing INT for the Comets. HH will host Schoolcraft next Friday for a chance at a regional championship.
