(March 9, 2021 4:10 PM) John R. Waldron, President and CEO of County National Bank (CNB), today announced the recent promotions of two members of the CNB team and one new addition.
Brenda Carpenter has been promoted to Vice President – Mortgage Lending Manager for County National Bank. Brenda has over 40 years of experience in banking, and has spent the last 30 years in the field of mortgage lending. She joined CNB in 2010 as a mortgage originator and was promoted to the role of 2nd Vice President – Mortgage Origination in 2014.
With this promotion, Brenda’s role at CNB will have a greater focus on management of the sales team. She will be tasked with expanding product and profitability while positioning the Bank for continued success within this important business segment. “Brenda has been one of CNB’s top producing Mortgage Loan Officers while managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the residential mortgage team,” said Chris Clarke, Vice President – Senior Loan Officer. “We look forward to her continued contributions and success in this new role.”
Brenda is a member of the Jackson Area Association of Realtors (JAAR) and the Home Builders Association of Jackson (HBAJ), and is a lifetime resident of Jackson.
Amber Yoder has been promoted to Marketing Officer for County National Bank. She joined CNB in 2018 as Marketing Specialist and was promoted to Marketing Manager in 2019. Amber is focused on enhancing CNB’s reputation within the areas we serve, promoting CNB’s activities and involvement in our communities, and in maintaining consistent branding through all communications channels.
Amber has 19 years of experience in the field of advertising and communications. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism with an advertising concentration from Central Michigan University. “Amber made an impact immediately upon her arrival at County National Bank and has been a steadying influence on the Marketing Department,” said Erik Lawson, CFO. “Her knowledge of community relations has meshed well with CNB’s focus on its communities.”
Amber serves on the City of Hillsdale Election Commission, previously served as Chair of the City of Hillsdale Planning Commission, and is a member of the Junior Achievement Crazy Bowl committee. She was born and raised in Hillsdale County, where she currently resides.
Holleigh Baker joins CNB as Vice President – Wealth Management Officer. Holleigh brings to CNB a diverse background in estate and trust services, and is also an attorney. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctorate degree, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Holleigh is a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA), and has completed the American Bankers Association Trust School, National Trust School, and Graduate Trust School.

Holleigh is active in the Lenawee County community as a board member of several nonprofit organizations. She also serves on the Michigan Bankers Association’s Trust Council. She and her family reside in the Brooklyn area.
