(June 25, 2022 7:12 PM) Scott Denig is still alive in his attempt to repeat as Lyle Ambs Memorial Golf Tournament champion.
Denig, Colin O’Connell, Cody Lysher and Cannon Risner each won two matches on Saturday in the championship flight at Sharp Park Golf Course.
Denig seeks to become the first golfer to repeat as champion since Mike Brockie pulled off the feat in 2015-2016.
In one semifinal match, Denig will face O’Connell in a rematch of last year’s Lyle Ambs final and Lysher will play against Risner in the other semifinal.
Each will play match play in the semifinals beginning at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Nick Henman will face Justin Bunch in the first flight championship on Sunday.
