The Hurst Planetarium presents Statewide Astronomy Night.  Experience the history of our night sky, and learn where we are heading next! Fly outside the Earth and experience our Universe like never before! Shows at 6:30, 7, and 7:30 p.m. Outdoor observing until 8:30 p.m.  Hurst Planetarium, Ella Sharp Museum.

Jackson District Library Friends Spring Book Sale.  Carnegie Branch, Downtown Jackson.  Books ,Movies, Music & More for all Ages.  Today from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Jackson Coffee Company presents Kev Nichols.  Kevin brings joy and passion to every song he plays and sings. From tender ballads to roof raising rockers, he’ll have you tapping your feet, humming or singing along, and wanting the music to go on and on and on!  7 to 10 PM, Jackson Coffee Company, corner of Cortland and Mechanic Streets, Downtown Jackson.  Free.

The Michigan Theatre presents Annie The Musical, a benefit production for those with autism. Doors open at 7:00 P.M. Show time is at 7:30 P.M. Admission is Free, Donations accepted at the door.  There will be a silent auction at tonight’s performance to benefit Jackson Autism Support Network.

Lonnie & Clyde:  An Evening of Poetry and Music.  Poetry, music, and more… don’t miss Lonnie & Clyde’s return to Summit!  Join us on Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m.  Intended for all ages.  Summit Branch, Jackson District Library.

Napoleon Middle School Spring Craft Show. Napoleon Middle School AIMS Parents’ Group will be hosting a spring craft show at the Napoleon Middle School on April 21, 2018, from 9am-3pm.  The admission fee will be $1.00 per person, kids under 12 free. All proceeds from the craft show will be used in support of extracurricular middle school activities including: 8th grade class trip, 7th grade class trip, student activity nights, technology for hands-on learning, and library upgrades.  Contact NapoleonAIMS@gmail.com with any questions.

An Evening of Luther Vandross performed by Ruben Studdard, tonight at 7 PM.  In the 13 years since he brightened the world of pop music with his American Idol-winning romantic balladry, Ruben Studdard has warmed the hearts of millions! This R & B, pop and gospel singer has built a huge fan base, recording five albums and touring with the likes of Peabo Bryson, Melissa Manchester, CeCe Winans and David Foster. Music Notes Annual Recital.  Please join us to support the students of Music Notes Studio for the annual recital. The event is held at the Jackson Symphony Music Hall and admission is $10 or $7 for veterans and seniors (65+) Our theme this year is Secondary Characters of Disney. Jackson County Honor Society Family Fun Day.  The Jackson County Honor Society is an organization dedicated to the creation, funding, and training of a fire service honor guard as well as promoting Fire/EMS, Law Enforcement, and Military education through the establishment of a scholarship fund.  So come on out and meet your local heroes, as well as some better known superheroes, see emergency vehicles up close, enjoy free games for the kids and food and beverage specials for the whole family all while listening to your favorite tunes from our DJ.   11 AM TO 4 PM, 3017 Wildwood Avenue.

Hunger Huddle Breakfast at The Parlour in Jackson.  A donation of $15 per person ($10 per person for families) will benefit Rivertree Church’s backpack program for da Vinci Schools. Jackson County Earth Day Celebration.  With the arrival of Spring, we are excited to announce the annual “Earth Day Celebration in the Park” event which will take place on Sunday April 22nd from 1-4pm at Cascades Park. This is a free family event for all ages that will include hands on activities, crafts, classroom critters, and live music by Kevin Nicholas. Come join us to learn more about how you can help take care of planet earth. Bob Milne, Ragtime Pianist In Concert.  World Renowned Ragtime Pianist Bob Milne will be in concert at South Jackson Community Church at 3:00pm.  Tickets are $5.00 per person at the door.  There will be refreshments available.  Bob Milne has taken his great talents worldwide for many years and has played for several U.S. Presidents.  As he delights you with his amazing capabilities on the piano with rousing Ragtime, Barrelhouse, and Honky Tonk playing, he will also intrigue you with the history behind the different songs and styles.  So grab your family and friends and join us!  You are sure to have a rousing good time!  (Limited seating available).  South Jackson Community Church, 1024 W.
