Michigan Theatre Kiwanis Winter Kids Series presents “The Lego Ninjago Movie Show Times are 11:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Doors open for the 1st screening at 10:30 A.M. and for the 2nd screening Doors open at 1:30 P.M. 

Yoga at Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Stop by the Meijer Branch every Friday at 8:30 a.m. and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.

Nite Lites Holiday Light Display at Michigan International Speedway.  Now through December 30.  Michigan International Speedway.  US-12 Entrance only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn.    Time: 5:30 pm – 9 pm Sunday thru Thursday.  5:30 pm – 10:00 pm Friday & Saturday.  Pricing: $20 per car / vehicle, $35 per mini-bus, $65 per tour bus.

Holiday Classic Film at the Bohm:  It’s a Wonderful Life.  See your favorite holiday classic films at the Bohm Theatre. Each classic will be shown on Friday mornings at 10:00 AM and again the following Saturday morning at 11:00 AM. Admission for these matinees are offered at our reduced classic price of $3.  Bohm Theatre, Downtown Albion.

The Optimist Ice Arena offers Open Skating Hours today.   We are happy to offer Open Skating every day during the Holiday Season.  Yes, we are open EVERYDAY!  Take advantage of our extended Open Skating hours during this busy time. Ice skating is a great way to celebrate the holiday season and burn off some of those extra pounds.  Today’s Open Skate hours are 11 AM to 2:50 PM and 7:30 PM to 9:20 PM.  Visit optimisticearena.com for a complete schedule of Holiday Weekend Hours.

Downtown Development Authority presents “Eve on the Ave”, beginning at 10 PM on West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.  Ring in the 2018 New Year at this family-friendly FREE event.  There will be a warming tent and 2018 giveaways.  As the clock strikes midnight, enjoy a New York-style ball drop and a festive fireworks display.  A DJ, music, dancing and more!  Presenting sponsor:  Tripp’s Auto Shop and Collision Center.

New Year’s Eve Bash presented by Jackson Young Professionals. The Fourth Annual New Year’s Eve BASH will be at the Michigan Theatre in Downtown Jackson.  Open to the public, this is the most premier party in Downtown Jackson!Your night will consist of: heavy hors d’oeuvres, complimentary beer & wine bar, cash liquor bar, live streaming of Times Square, live DJ playing Top 40 and classic hits, photobooth, a fun dance floor and more.  Greet 2018 in style! Ladies, this is your time to pull out your favorite holiday dress. Gentlemen, sports-coats or suits are acceptable.  8 PM to 1 AM. Tickets available here.

Countdown to 2018 Bar Crawl.  We are counting down to 2018 in 3 different “Time Zones” that we’ve created right here in downtown Jackson… it’s the K-105.3 New Year’s Eve Bar Crawl!   8pm-11pm: We’ll be broadcasting live from these 3 locations downtown where you can enter to win a prize and enjoy some great New Year’s Eve specials:  The Chase,  The Dirty Bird,  Night Light.  Join us along the way, and at the end, we’ll pick someone to win $105 from K-105.3 to start off 2018 with a little money in their pocket.  Afterward, be sure to join us on Michigan Ave at midnight for the New York-style Ball Drop from City Hall followed by a beautiful fireworks display!

Get a Free Ride Home on New Year’s Eve.  Jackson Area Transportation Authority presents Dial-A-Ride.  On New Year’s Eve, between 11 PM and 4 AM.  Reservations can be made starting at 11 PM by calling 517-788-8410.  Rides are available only to take you to your home.  Drivers will not take riders from party to party.  Riders should call at least 45 minutes in advance.  Sponsored by Budweiser, JTV, Jackson County Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition and Jackson Area Transportation Authority.
