The Grand River Farmers Market is back for another season of fresh and local products, candles and soaps, and much much more!   9 am – 2 pm.  We accept cash, credit, checks, double up food bucks, WIC project fresh, senior project fresh, and bridge cards!   At the Grand River Pavilion, in front of Grand River Brewery, corner of Louis Glick and Mechanic.

American 1 Kids Fest.  Kids’ Fest is a free event designed to help children learn about topics while having a ton of fun! We bring in local businesses and organizations that teach children topics such as health, nutrition, art, safety, community and so much more.  12 Noon to 5 PM.  Each booth offers a hands-on activity, game or craft for children to help them learn. Thousands of kids and families visit Kids’ Fest each summer!  American 1 Events Center, Jackson County Fairgrounds.

The Jackson YMCA presents Outdoor Summer Fun, free events for members and the community.  Yoga at the Farmer’s Market.  9 AM to 10 AM.  Meet at Grand River Farmer’s Market.

Yoga at the Meijer Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us at the Meijer Branch! Stop by the Meijer Branch every Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and Friday at 8:30 a.m. and let Jeanette Lamphere teach you yoga. Suggested donation of $3. Intended for adults.

The Believe Center Craft, Flea Market and Antique Show.  Today from 12 Noon to 6 PM.  $2 entry fee.  745 Lansing Avenue, Jackson.  Special Made in Michigan Section.  Food and drink available and entertainment.  Proceeds benefit Mission of Hope Cancer Fund and those with cancer.

4th Annual FootGolf Fundraiser.  Ella Sharp Park Golf Course.  Registration at 6 PM, shotgun kickoff at 6:30 PM.  $30 per person.  Adult men and women enjoy nine holes of FootGolf with cart, followed by food, refreshments, and prizes.  Four person team scramble, individuals welcome.  Details at 517-787-2517.  Players provide their own #5 soccer ball and appropriate kicking shoes. 

Irish Hills Community Legacy presents Arts in the Park.  Free concerts at Swain Memorial Park, Brooklyn.  Tonight, Billy and Scott songs for Leon’s Trunk.  7 PM.

The Sandstone Congregational Church Annual Rummage Sale, 205 S. Sandstone Road, Jackson. Just south of Michigan Ave.  Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM.  Our annual Sale is in the back lower level of the church.We are going to be selling fresh baked goods.

2018 Juneteenth Celebration from 2-9:30 p.m. at the CP Federal City Square, Downtown Jackson.  Juneteenth features a great outdoor musical concert in the evening with Detroit’s own Rumpelstiltskin, a favorite nine-piece band featuring outstanding male and female vocalists that has performed throughout the Midwest. Also performing will be Jackson’s R&B, soul and rock band Airtight, funk and soul band Third Down, and DJ Scott White.  In addition to some great music, the afternoon will start with a helpful community resource fair – a job fair, health fair and education fair. Check out exhibitors all around CP Federal Square to learn more about Jackson’s helpful resources. Food and sales vendors will also be available.  Free Admission.

The 2018 Cascades Rotary Community Bandshell Summer Concert Series. Sponsored by The Myers Family Little Caesars of Jackson and Jackson County Parks.  Tonight at 7PM.  The Gordon Lightfoot Tribute captures not only his music but also offers and evening of Canadian folk, country and popular music with songs of the lakes, the woods, lost loves and broken hearts and, of course, “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”.  Free Admission.

The 5th Annual Pirate Booty Dash 5K Run/Walk/FunRun. This is a professionally timed event. Medals awarded to top 3 in each age bracket. Our 5K will take you through the small town of Napoleon, past a few cow farms & chicken coops! The Booty Dash is hosted by Napoleon Athletic Boosters and is one of our largest annual fundraisers. The Poison Frog Holy Roots.  Who doesn’t love reggae?? The outstanding HOLY ROOTS are back! Please show them a very warm Frog welcome!!  8 PM to 11 PM, Poison Frog Brewery, 1908 Horton Road, Jackson.

The Croswell Opera House presents Mamma Mia! tonight at 8 PM.  One of Broadway’s biggest musicals ever is coming to the Croswell this summer! Mamma Mia features the greatest hits of Swedish pop group Abba, from “Dancing Queen” to “Super Trouper” to “Waterloo,” and has been seen by over 60 million people worldwide. This show is sure to be a sellout, so get your tickets early!  Croswell Opera House, downtown Adrian.

Front Porch Concert Series at Jackson College. The 34th Annual Trombonefest tonight at 7 PM.  On the front porch of Potter Center, Jackson College Central Campus.  Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music!  Free!

The Michigan Theatre presents Local Live Music,  sponsored by Nostalgia Ink. Starts at 3:00 P.M. Admission is FREE!  Michigan Theatre of Jackson.

Father’s Day Steak Special at Grand River Brewery.  10 AM to 8 PM.  Stop in with your dad on Father’s Day and get a 1 lb bone-in ribeye steak and fries for only $26 and if you want a brew with your beef, we will have $1 pints of our 313 Polish Lager as well.  Grand River Brewery, Downtown Jackson.
