Michigan Theatre 88th Anniversary Celebration.  The Michigan Theatre Producers present the film “Ghostbusters” today during the 88th anniversary celebration of the Michigan Theatre.  Doors open at 5:30 PM, film begins at 6 PM.  Free admission.

The world-famous Harlem Wizards will visit Stockbridge Community Schools today at 6:30 PM for an evening of great fun and fundraising. The Wizards will play a game against our Stockbridge Panthers;  a team of administrators, teachers and community leaders. Proceeds will benefit Stockbridge Community Schools’ Athletic Department. The event will feature a variety of fun interactive extras to complement the Wizards’ dazzling demonstration of hoops artistry: Pregame “Wiz Kids” warm-up, contests, comedy, awesome slam dunks, audience participation, merchandise giveaways, and more.  $25 million for schools and charitable causes. Tickets are  General Admission ($10.00 advance and $12.00 door) Reserved Courtside Plus ($25.00). 

Painting Foundations for Teens and Adults – Mixed Media II.  Beginner to Advanced students indulge your love of art and grow at your own pace in this small studio setting. Learn the basics of pain application, color mixing, color theory, value, and composition. Meet with some friends and your art instructor for individualized instructions in a small group setting. Learn new weekly techniques with hands-on demonstrations and gain confidence in your own skills as a painter. Jackson School of the Arts, 634 North Mechanic Street, Jackson.  6:45 PM – 8:15 PM.
