Jackson Area Transportation Authority presents National Transportation Week activities beginning today.   The fun runs from May 14th – 18th.  Join us at the JATA Transfer Center to enjoy a hot dog/drink for 75 cents, chances to win a prize or receive a give-a-way (while supplies last)!   We hope to see you all there!

Red Cross Blood Drive, 12 p.m. – 5:45 p.m., Heart O The Lakes Church, 7031 Jefferson Road.  Donors of all blood types are urged to roll up a sleeve this May to help meet the needs of trauma patients and others with serious medical conditions.

Red Cross Blood Drive, 11 a.m. – 4:45 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 743 West Michigan.  Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Forget-Me-Not Pots at the Jackson District Library.  Keep special moments close this Memorial Day with this special memory pot craft, complete with a live geranium plant. Space is limited, so registration is required. Intended for

Grass Lake Literary & Chocolate Society at Grass Lake Branch, Jackson District Library.  Join us on Monday, May 14 at 6 p.m.to discuss When the Moon is Low by Nadia Hasimi. Painting Foundation for Adults and Teens-Mixed Media.  Beginner to Advanced students indulge your love of art and grow at your own pace in this small studio setting. Learn the basics of pain application, color mixing, color theory, value, and composition. Meet with some friends and your art instructor for individualized instructions in a small group setting.
