
The Jackson Downtown Development Authority presents the Grand River Farmers Market, today and tomorrow from 8am to 2pm. The market, featuring seasonal farmers and other vendors is at Grand River Marketplace, corner of Glick Highway and Mechanic Street in Downtown Jackson.

Walker Tavern Farmers Market is one of the largest open air markets in Southeast Michigan. There are over 50 vendors that can be found on most Sundays. There are local seasonal produce and handmade crafts at this farmers market, there are even some special Sunday events. A Recreation passport is required for State Park entry. Hours are 10am to 12 noon. Walker Tavern is located at M-50 and U.S. 12 in Brooklyn.
Waterloo Farm Museum Pioneer Day. 12 N to 5 PM. The celebration of late 19th century farm life includes tours of the Farm Museum and Dewey School, live music, and demonstrations of crafts, trades, and traditional cooking methods. Now in its fifth decade, Pioneer Day is the premier event on the Waterloo Area Historical Society’s calendar. The festivities include activities at both of the Society’s locations: the Farm Museum and the Dewey School Museum. A visit to the Farm Museum and tour includes a complex of farm buildings including the restored ten-room Farmhouse dating from 1855. Farm goods, jams, preserves, apple butter and delicious snacks and treats for sale. Admission to the Waterloo Farm Museum grounds for this event is $5 for adults and $2 for children aged 5-12. There is no admission charge for children under 5 and members of the Waterloo Area Historical Society. Admission includes a guided tour of the ten-room farmhouse. Red Egg Farm Corn Maze. The Jackson Girl Scouts #60285 invites you to the Red Egg Farm on Sunday October 8th from 11-7pm. All proceeds raised from the $3 Corn Maze goes directly to the Girl Scouts and their Silver Award focusing on Animals. 9123 Spring Arbor Road, Spring Arbor. There will be many other family fun things to do including rock hunting, fresh donuts and cider, farm animals, pumpkins for purchase, candy, and hayrides. It’s a great way to kick off the Fall and Halloween season!
Worship in the Round Tour with Building 429, Josh Wilson & Chris 7 p.m., Jackson College Potter Center. The Worship in the Round tour is celebrating a special tradition in Nashville of artists coming together and worshiping on stage together instead of their individual sets. The artists will also share a number of stories behind their songs, and the ministry impact as God is using these songs to minister to many across the world. Building 429 is best known for their song “Where I Belong,” which spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian music chart. Josh Wilson is best known for his hit songs “Savior, Please” and “Before the Morning.” Chris August’s song “Starry Night” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian music chart.
