“Pandemonium”  7 PM.  Grass Lake High School Theatre Society Presents “Pandemonium”, Greek Mythology like never before!  Including an opening Middle School Performance of “Dancing with the Olympians”.  Tickets $10.  Grass Lake High School Auditorium.

Tompkins Center Historical Society’s April Dinner. Come take a Spring drive to The Tompkins Center Historical Society’s monthly dinner.  Held on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at Tompkins Center’s Township Town Hall at 9999 Tompkins Rd.  ½ mile north of Tompkins Center off of M-50.  Between Jackson and Eaton Rapids. On the menu for April will be Ham and Escalloped Potatoes, Salad and Dessert Bar. Serving time is from 5 to 6:30 pm in the Tompkins Center Township’s Town Hall.  Take out orders call (517-569-2463) night of the dinner.  Dinner gift certificates available also.  Donation: Adults $12.00 Children Under 12 $8.00. St. Mary Fish Fry.  Every Friday during Lent from 4 PM to 7 PM in Star Hall.  $16 per meal, includes 3 piece fried or baked cod, french fries, mac & cheese, and coleslaw.  Dine in, carry out or drive-thru.  St. Mary’s Church, corner of Mechanic and Wesley, Downtown Jackson.

Queens Fish Fry.  4:30 PM to 7 PM.  Dine-in meals are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, $7 for children 6 years and under and $55 for families (two adults and four children). Drive-thru meals $14. Dinner includes fried or baked fish with French fries, a vegetable, coleslaw, macaroni and cheese and dessert. Fish tacos and pizza are also available. 811 S. Wisner Street, Jackson.

Grand River Winter Farmer’s Market.  A year-round community-driven market prioritizing fresh local products and Michigan made goods. Fridays 10 am – 3 pm. Food Assistance Programs:  We accept most food assistance programs, including WIC, Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), Project Fresh, and Senior Project Fresh.  You can double your $ when using a Bridge card with the DUFB program ($10 becomes $20).   Found Church, 141 E Michigan Ave., Downtown Jackson.

11th Annual Teacher and Student Art Show. You’re invited to the JXN Art Teachers & Students Art Show.  Art 634, 634 N. Mechanic Street, Jackson.  Exhibit runs thru April 20 with Artist Reception April 6 from 1 PM to 4 PM.

East Jackson Elementary STEAM Art Show.  Come admire all of the artwork from the students of East Jackson Elementary. This art will be up for viewing during all open hours for the entire month of April. Leave a note and tell them how much you enjoyed their work.   Eastern Branch, Jackson District Library.

April Fool’s Marathon and 5K ORS Running Series.  9 AM.  Join us for our 2nd “April Fools Marathon” (5K) April 5, 2025.  Proceeds Benefit the KORY C WITTMAN II MEMORIAL Mission is to bring “Distracted Driver Awareness” to Jackson County & beyond. To advocate for Safe Pathways for all Pedestrians, both Runners & Walkers, including our Bikers and Wheel Chairs. Jackson County Genealogical Society Meeting. 1:30 PM.  Program: Hands on workshop to help with your DNA.   (Bring your laptop-internet will be available for hook-up. Newsboys. 7 PM.  Internationally acclaimed Christian band Newsboys is bringing their high-energy performance back to the Potter Center! With a musical journey spanning nearly four decades, Newsboys have become synonymous with chart-topping hits and inspirational anthems. Jackson Reptile Expo. 10 AM to 3 PM.  Come out to the Jackson Reptile Expo on April 6th from 10am-3pm!  Family friendly Expo with tons to see and buy!
