Moods and Memories Holiday Concert by the Capital City Brass Band.  The Capital City Brass Band makes their annual trek to Jackson for an evening of festive and memorable Holiday and Brass Band favorites.  7 PM.  First Baptist Church, 201 South Jackson Street, Jackson.  This is a free concert, donations are appreciated.

BJ Walraven at Jackson Coffee Company.  View is comprised of BJ Walraven (guitars and lead vocals), Justin Mastic (bass and vocals), and Erik Weber (drums and vocals). Songs range from acoustic folk with haunting vocals, to upbeat electric punk, to rock and roll with spine-tingling three-part harmonies. They have released two full length CDs of their original songs.  7 PM to 10 PM, Jackson Coffee Company, corner of Cortland and Mechanic Street, Downtown Jackson.

Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church presents:  Joseph’s Journey tonight at 7 PM.  This rock opera is the Christmas story as if it took place in the 1980s – with live music from Journey, Rick Springfield, REO Speedwagon, Cyndi Lauper, Bon Jovi, and many more 80s rock stars. Come dressed in 80’s attire and rock out to your favorite hits from the decade of rad.   FREE Admission!  Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church Auditorium, 120 E Main Street, Spring Arbor.   Childcare provided for kids 5 and under.

Friday Night Skate and Laser Tag at Allskate Fun Center.  All Music is Censored before 9pm.  12yrs old & older ONLY after 9pm.  6:00-9:00pm Admission is $8, 8:00-11:00pm Admission is $10.  6 to 11 PM Admission is $15. While you’re there play some Laser Tag & check out our really cool Game Room and try to win some very awesome prizes! Plus many other fun games you can win lots of tickets!

Wreaths Across America.  St. John Cemetery, an official Wreaths Across America (WAA) location, will host its second annual wreath-laying ceremony with local veterans at 12pm on Dec. 15th, joining more than 1,400 other locations across the country for National Wreaths Across America Day.  Coordinated and led by local volunteers, St. John Cemetery is raising money to purchase 2,300 remembrance wreaths to place on the graves of our veterans.  This annual event seeks to further the WAA mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.  St. John Catholic Cemetery, 403 E South St,  Jackson.  Connect with the Facebook event page for updates.

A Christmas to Remember Christmas Concert, presented by Keith & Joann Drayton.  A singing, dancing Christmas Extravaganza!   Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Auditorium, 3019 West Morrell Street Jackson.  11 AM to 1 PM.  $10 donation at the door.  All your Christmas favorites in song and dance.  Featuring dozens of talented Jackson area singers, dancers and musicians.  Plus a Christmas Choir featuring alumni of the Starfleet Ambassadors and Broadway Revue.  One performance only!

Paint an Ornament Drop In.  Drop in to Betty Kay’s Studio from 12 till 4pm to make/paint an ornament.  This event is for all ages. I have things for kids to adults. Make that special keepsake to gift or to add to your family tree.  I have a variety of ornaments to add your creative touch to, from glass, wood, craft sticks to ribbon.   The price depends on what you choose. $2-$15.  Art 634, 634 North Mechanic Street.

A North Pole Christmas Tea Party-American Girl.  A magical afternoon, and a tea party for you and your favorite doll! $20 includes all art supplies. Ages 4-10 years old.  Join the amazing fun with you and your doll dressed in your holiday best. We will celebrate the spirit of the season North Pole style. Enjoy the twinkling lights and beautiful tree, as we create a sparkling evergreen painting on canvas. Dance with peppermint sticks and play some jolly games. Celebrate the Season with Dani and Garrett.  At any given performance, you can expect to hear country, rock, pop, and blues music projected from Dani’s one-of-a-kind unique blend of both silky smooth and coarse, gritty vocals. With her frequent trips to Nashville, TN to cowrite with a variety of veteran songwriters, Dani continues to fine tune her craft and produce strong original material.  Music 2-5 pm.  Cherry Creek Cellars, 11500 Silver Lake Hwy, Brooklyn.

Maria Rose at Blue Sky Brewery and Chateau Aeronautique Winery.  Maria has been singing professionally since she was fifteen years old. She’s performed all over the world in a variety of capacities including solo/acoustic shows at various restaurants, musical theatre, weddings, and corporate events. She also writes and performs in her own original band, Boudoir Noir. She sings a variety of different genres including jazz, pop, classic rock, and Motown and plays the guitar and ukulele.  7 PM to 10 PM.  12000 Pentecost Hwy, Onsted.

Christmas with the Jackson Chorale.  4 PM, First United Methodist Church, 275 West Michigan Avenue.   Take a moment to slow down during the busy holiday season and enjoy the 3rd Annual Christmas with the Jackson Chorale concert! Marvel in the many beautiful arrangements of standard Christmas carols accompanied by the chamber orchestra. The Chorale, once again joined by special guests the Northwest and Western High School Choirs, will present Bach’s Cantata “For Us a Child is Born.” Delight in the Jackson Chorale Children’s choir with holiday favorites.
