Cosmic Christmas Light Show. Hurst Planetarium’s annual Holiday Light Show is back! This year we are celebrating the holidays with our Cosmic Christmas light show, produced by the Longway Planetarium. This is a must not miss event for anyone looking for some holiday fun! Come on out and sing along with us in the Hurst Planetarium! Tickets purchased will be a “Day Pass” to the Ella Sharp Museum and Hurst Planetarium. Please choose the date you’re interested in and attend one of our scheduled shows at 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, and 4 pm. Member Price: Free. Gear Up: The Science of Bikes. From schoolyards and mountain trails to bustling city streets, we encounter bicycles nearly every day. Since its inception in the late 19th century, the bicycle has affected how people live, work, and play. Its popularity has only grown over time, and it is as relevant today as it was 100 ago. Visitors of GEAR UP will learn how bikes work, the science and technology behind the machine as well as the history and evolution of the bike and how bikes have impacted our culture. Like the bicycle itself, this exhibition has been designed to appeal to people of all ages with diverse interests, from STEM to design to history to art. Now on exhibit at Ella Sharp Museum.

2023 On Two Wheels Christmas Party. 10 AM to 5 PM. This is our annual Christmas/holiday party and the last day of 2023 that OTW will be open before 2024 kicks off! Everything will still be on sale! Bottle Release at Ogma Brewing Co. 11 AM. We’re stoked to announce the launch of “Nightmare Fyule,” our limited inaugural bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout, meticulously crafted and aged for 10 months. The much-anticipated release kicks off this Saturday at 11 a.m., with a purchase cap of two bottles per individual. Sitting at a sturdy 15% abv, each wax-dipped 1 pint, .9 oz bottle is brewed with the exotic flavors of Vietnamese cinnamon, rich Guatemalan cocoa nibs, and a blend of vanilla beans sourced from Vanuatu and Guatemala. $25 per bottle. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. Make Christmas Eve a memorable evening and join us for a traditional Candlelight Service as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
