Grand River Farmers Market Winter Season.  10 AM to 3 PM.  The Grand River Farmers Market crew has moved inside for their first winter market!  Found Church, 141 E Michigan Ave, Downtown Jackson.  Open Fridays 10 AM to 3 PM from November thru April.  A varied collection of farmers, makers and vendors each week!

Winter Game Night at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  5 PM to 8 PM.  Start the year off with game nights every first Friday of the month during the months of January, February & March! Look forward to seeing new games at the winery but feel free to bring any from home! Jay Fry Live at Ironbark.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Jay Fry is a guitar-wielding singer/songwriter based out of Southeastern Michigan, though his musical influences come from all over the place. His sets feature covers and originals in the styles of Rock, Folk, Jazz, Classic Rock, Pop, R&B, Americana and more. He’s played all over the country, both solo and with his band, Chirp. Grow Jackson Groundhog Gallop. The 2024 ORS Running Series kicks off with the 2024 Groundhog Gallop to benefit our Grow Jackson’s Summer 2024 Initiatives. Grow Jackson is a nonprofit 501(c)3 entity that exists to end food insecurity in Jackson. By operating community gardens and rescuing good food from being thrown away we are making healthy food options available to our neighbors, educating the next generation on the value of a healthy diet for personal health, and are playing a part in the wellness of our whole community. 10 am.  JPS Middle School at Parkside, 2400 4th St, Jackson.  Run for FREE with a donation.  Pricing:  $30 from 1/22 to 2/02 (no shirt guaranteed), $40 on race day February 3rd (no shirt).  Register HERE.

Jackson Toy Show.  9am to 3pm.  American 1 Event Center, Jackson Fairgrounds (Keeley Park), 200 W. Ganson St. Jackson.  Admission is $5.00 per person.  Kids under 12 FREE.  The Jackson show started in 2004 and has grown from 18 tables to over 245 tables of toy collectibles. It’s a one day show where you’ll find everything from NASCAR, Tractors, Dolls, Promos, Tonka Trucks, Hot Wheels, Slot Cars, Model Cars, Star Wars, Action Figures, Movie Posters, Comics, Sport Cards, Matchbox, Trains, Die Cast Trucks, Cartoon Characters, Battery Operated & Wind-Ups, Antique Toys and more!  FREE PARKING – FOOD CONCESSIONS – HANDICAP-ACCESSIBLE Early Bird 7:30 Admission $10.00 per person. Jackson County Genealogical Society Meeting.  1 PM.  Regular monthly meeting. Jackson District Library Meijer Branch – Community Room. 2699 Airport Road, Jackson. Guest speaker is Jeff Mason.  Topic:  Discovering Vital Records & Church Parish Records in England & Wales.  Public Invited to attend free.

Rollin’ with Bo at Veritas.  6 PM to 8 PM.  One of our most popular events at Veritas is back! Attend Rollin’ with Bo and learn the basic skills to create three specialized sushi rolls with instruction from sushi chef Bohyeon Keller. No experience necessary, just a can do attitude!  Your ticket includes supplies and instructions for creating each roll, sake pairings, take home containers, your own rolling mat, chopsticks and gratuities.  Tickets and event page here.

Marshall Ice, Wine, Beer, and Blues.  On Friday night, indulge in beer and wine tastings at various locations, accompanied by live “sci-fi” themed ice sculpting. A tasting ticket grants you access to samples at 11 different businesses, with an option to purchase a hand-made collectible goblet.  Don’t forget to check out the Saturday night concert at The Franke Center for the Arts featuring blues virtuoso Laith Al-Saadi.  Activities during the day Saturday include ice sculpting and more.  Event page here.

Ella Sharp Museum Bridal Show.  Ella Sharp Museum, 3225 4th St, Jackson.  Join Ella Sharp Museum on February 4th from 11am to 4pm for our first annual Bridal show.  Join us for our first annual Bridal Show. We will have door prizes, cash bar, and swag bags for the first 50 brides.
