Shop Talk with Babbie Mason.  10 AM.  Join us for a special ShopTalk with Dove Award-winning artist Babbie Mason on Friday, February 6 at 10:00 AM in the Ganton Art Gallery. Babbie will share stories from her remarkable career in music, along with reflections on her journey of faith, encouraging for artists and creatives at every stage. Whether you’re a songwriter, performer, or simply curious about the intersection of creativity and calling, this conversation promises to be meaningful and inspiring. Babbie Mason Songwriting Competition. 6:30 PM.  The 5th annual Babbie Mason Songwriting Contest returns on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the Ralph Carey Forum, at 6:30 PM! Winners receive cash prizes! New this year will be a songwriting workshop with Babbie the next day on Saturday, February 7 from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM on campus! More details to come soon! Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”.  7 PM.  Napoleon Community Schools 2026 production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” will be presented this weekend at Napoleon High School Cafeteria.  Friday and Saturday at 7 PM, Sunday at 2 PM.  Director:  Karen Trudeau.  Producer:  Traci Royer-Spring.  Featuring students from Napoleon Middle School and Napoleon High School.  Tickets (cash only):  $10 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens.  Doors to seating open 30 minutes prior to show time.

Keys and Frets Live at Ironbark.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Enjoy a relaxing evening of classic jam rock with Keys and Frets! This duo brings a soulful variety of spirited covers in the vein of The Allman Brothers, Tom Petty, Grateful Dead, The Stones and BB King.  Ironbark Brewing Company, 2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Karaoke at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  6 PM.  Come to Sandhill to enjoy some wine, food, and show off your karaoke skills! Our host, Megan, will be bringing the energy from 6-9pm! This event is being held simultaneously with our bi-monthly game night! We will have a variety of card and board games available for you to enjoy as well. Mark Blomsteel & The Motor City Drive.  Friday night is about to be LOUD. ORS Race Series:  Groundhog Gallop.  Grow Jackson is excited for the 2026 Groundhog Gallop to benefit our Summer 2026 Initiatives. Grow Jackson is a nonprofit 501(c)3 entity that exists to end food insecurity in Jackson. By operating community gardens and rescuing good food from being thrown away we are making healthy food options available to our neighbors, educating the next generation on the value of a healthy diet for personal health, and are playing a part in the wellness of our whole community. This year we are fundraising for a farm vehicle and farming equipment for the expansion of our food growing operations. All proceeds will go to supporting these efforts so that we can continue to grow local organic food in urban farms for our neighbors! Jackson Toy Show.  9 AM to 3 PM. American 1 Event Center, Keeley Park in Downtown Jackson.  Over 275 tables including tractors, Hot Wheels, dolls, Star Wars, action figures, Pez, sport cards, Tonka trucks, slot cars, movie posters, sci-fi, cartoon characters, comics, models, Pops, tin wind-ups and 100’s of more collectibles.  More info at MidMichiganSuperShows.com.  Admission $5, kids under 12 free.

Take Your Child to the Library Day Celebration.  11 AM to 2 PM.  Join us at the Grass Lake Branch in celebrating Take Your Child to the Library Day – the first Saturday of February! We have a special library-themed Storytime that starts at 11 AM as well as library crafts, games, and activities. This will also be a great time to sign up your child for their own library card. No registration required.  Jackson District Library, Grass Lake Branch.

Northbound at the Honky Tonk.  Saturday night, we’re keeping it pure Michigan. Northbound is bringing outlaw country and honky tonk favorites for a full-on hometown party.  Live country!  Dance floor ready!No better way to close the weekend. Trivia Night Fundraiser for Pantry.   Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene, 8200 King Rd, Spring Arbor.  We’ll have a fantastic time playing Trivia! You can either join a team or bring your own. $10 Entry fee per person to join a team. Additionally, there will be a silent auction bake sale happening. Concessions will also be available. Proceeds go to funding our Helping Hands Pantry. Doors Open at 6:00 p.m.

Luke Woltanski Live at Ironbark.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Don’t miss the return of traveling musician Luke Woltanski ft. Dan Palmer, with their road tested songs of Americana lore, soulful folk, and warm sonics to transport you to an ethereal realm of enjoyment!  2610 Kibby Road, Jackson.

Astronomical Observatory Viewing Night.  9 PM – 11 PM.  Students, employees, and community members are invited to enjoy an evening of stargazing through our campus telescope! Please call 517.990.1400 or visit the Astronomical Observatory web page before attending to confirm the event is still taking place, as it may be canceled due to weather conditions.  Jackson College Central Campus.

The Big Game Watch Party. Join us downtown for a FREE “Big Game” Watch Party at the Michigan Theatre of Jackson as the Seattle Seahawks take on the New England Patriots. Watch the championship football matchup on the big screen inside our newly renovated historic theatre and enjoy a fun, relaxed night with friends, family, and fellow fans. Game Time: 6:30 PM, Doors Open: 5:30 PM, Admission: FREE. Enjoy a $5 Coney Dog Combo (coney dog, chips, and a fountain drink). Full concessions and a full bar will be available throughout the game.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.
