Kids Winter Break Movie:  “Patrol The Mighty Movie”.  11 AM and 2 PM.  SPONSORED BY KIWANIS OF JACKSON.  ONE DOLLAR ADMISSION.  KID’S COMBOS AVAILABLE FOR $5.  Doors open 30 minutes before showtimes.  The PAW Patrol pups magically gain superpowers after a meteor strikes Adventure City. However, things take a turn for the worse when Humdinger and a mad scientist steal their powers and turn themselves into supervillains. Ella Sharp Museum Holiday House Tour.  3225 4th St,, Jackson.  Celebrate the holidays with us during a historical tour of Ella Sharp’s Hillside Farmhouse decorated with traditional Victorian trimmings. Please arrive in the main museum lobby for check-in before your tour. Price:  $5 per person (free for members). December 26-30, 2023 @ 1-2 pm.

Cosmic Christmas Light Show.  Hurst Planetarium’s annual Holiday Light Show is back! This year we are celebrating the holidays with our Cosmic Christmas light show, produced by the Longway Planetarium. This is a must not miss event for anyone looking for some holiday fun! Come on out and sing along with us in the Hurst Planetarium! Tickets purchased will be a “Day Pass” to the Ella Sharp Museum and Hurst Planetarium. Please choose the date you’re interested in and attend one of our scheduled shows at 11:30am, 2:30pm, and 4pm. Member Price: Free.  Non-Member Price: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/military/college students, $5 for children, 4 & under are free.  Dates: 12/26 – 12/30.  Times: 11:30am, 2:30pm, & 4:00pm each day.

Sir Richard Live at Ironbark Brewing Co.  7-10 pm.  Ironbark Brewing Co., 2610 Kibby Rd, Jackson.  Ironbark incorporates a fusion of science, art, music and hospitality. Sir Richard will be here playing a variety of songs of the 60s, 70s, 90s, originals and more!  Come down have a delicious craft beer, and extra delicious food from the Kibby Cobb Deli!

Gear Up:  The Science of Bikes. From schoolyards and mountain trails to bustling city streets, we encounter bicycles nearly every day. Since its inception in the late 19th century, the bicycle has affected how people live, work, and play. Its popularity has only grown over time, and it is as relevant today as it was 100 ago. Visitors of GEAR UP will learn how bikes work, the science and technology behind the machine as well as the history and evolution of the bike and how bikes have impacted our culture. Like the bicycle itself, this exhibition has been designed to appeal to people of all ages with diverse interests, from STEM to design to history to art.  Now on exhibit at Ella Sharp Museum.
