Jackson County Manufacturing Trade Show.  8 AM to 12 PM.  Join us for a day of innovation and collaboration at the Manufacturing Technology Tradeshow. The event will feature a variety of sessions, including a kickoff address by the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity Chief Deputy Director, Jonathan Smith, followed by a roundtable discussion, and presentations by manufacturing technology startups showcasing their Industry 4.0 solutions. Experts from fields like artificial intelligence, lean manufacturing, and tech transfer will share insights and discuss the future of manufacturing. Additionally, the Enterprise Group of Jackson will provide an economic development update on local projects and resources. Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  You’re invited to join us riverside for a healthy dose of good food, good music, and good community! We’ve got dozens of weekly rotating vendors offering Seasonal fruits & veggies, meats, cheeses, coffee, honey, pasta, artisan breads, baked goods, dairy, plants, flowers, bath and body, hand-crafted artisan wares, and more!  Entertainment and food truck.  We’ve also got prepared food and frozen make-n-take dinners.  We’ll be open rain or shine – hope to see you there!  Glick and Mechanic, Downtown Jackson.

Michigan Button Society Fall Show.  “All Dolled Up”.  September 27-29.  Admission: Free. For a look into the world of buttons, antique, vintage, or modern, come join enthusiastic button collectors for many hours of entertainment. Avery Anna Concert.  7 PM.  Avery Anna, a Warner Music Nashville artist, started her career recording in her bathtub and has quickly gained recognition from major platforms like Amazon and Spotify. At just 20, her debut EP Mood Swings, featuring the viral hit “Narcissist,” has garnered nearly 350 million streams. She performed at the 2023 CMT Music Awards as a Breakthrough Artist nominee and recently released her new single, “I Will (When You Do)” with Dylan Marlowe.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Downtown Jackson Cruise Night. 5 PM to 8 PM.  It’s the final Cruise Night of 2024!  The Downtown Development Authority invites you to bring the family downtown! Marcus & Tiffany Shelton at Veritas.  6 PM to 9 PM.  Marcus and Tiffany Shelton are classically trained singers who have been married for over 20 years. In his longtime opera career, Marcus was honored to sing on stages around the world, and with some of the biggest names in the business; and Tiffany has largely focused her music degree and velvety pipes on jazz and musical theatre. They will be performing their signature mix of genres and styles, including: classic rock, opera, 90s alternative, mellow 70s gold, country, big band favorites, and more!
