Red Cross Blood Drive.  9 a.m. – 2:45 p.m., Lifeways, 1200 N. West Avenue, Jackson.  The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give the gift of life to help ensure patients don’t have to worry about the availability of blood this winter. Blood and platelet donations of all types are needed, especially type O.

Mighty Naturalist Program.  Share your love of nature with your young child(ren). We will explore and play with nature while developing critical early childhood skills and growing self-confidence. The Mighty Naturalist Programs are geared toward children 5 years and younger with an adult caregiver to learn about animals, winter survival, birds, tracks, and more. Office Hours with State Representative Julie Alexander.  Jackson County residents are invited to attend Representative Alexander’s local office hours to hear a legislative update, and ask any questions you may have on state government.  10 AM to 11 AM. Jackson County Tower Building, 120 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson.

Your Generation In Concert.  Your Generation in Concert™ is a live multimedia spectacular celebrating 5 decades of pop, rock, dance and R&B hits. Simply put, this 8-piece band is the world’s finest tribute show.  On January 11, 2020, Your Generation In Concert will debuting two new songs before the official release. Also, you may be a part of their upcoming video to accompany the album scheduled to be released in 2020.  8 PM.  $9 in advance, $13 at the door.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Boy Scout Christmas Tree pickup. Scout Troop 424, sponsored by the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, will be picking up Christmas Trees starting at 8:00am. Please have your tree at the  curb before 8:00am.  All trees in Jackson city limits will be picked up automatically. For Summit Township only, pickup must be requested by calling (517)740-0570. Please leave a message with the address and phone number. This is a community service. It is also an important fundraiser for the Troop. All donations are greatly appreciated. 100% of the funds will go to Troop 424. Please make donations by check if possible. The check should be payable to “Troop 424”  Thank you for your support.  Troop 424 has been providing this community service since 1977. All trees are recycled.

Wings and Strings Wild Winter Party presented by Country Boots and Bands.  A night of great music, food, drinks & fun.This is a FREE show!  Acoustic sets by:  Matt Austin. Kari Holmes, Jason Cross.  DJ Mike Holiday (between sets).  Buffalo Wild Wings, Jackson Crossing.  7 PM to 11 PM.

Knights of Columbus Breakfast.  Menu includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, cocoa, coffee, tea, juice, milk, cereal.  Bring your family, friends and neighbors.  Social good time in fellowship.  9 AM to 12 Noon.  St. Mary Star of the Sea, 120 E. Wesley, Jackson.
