Open House presented by Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and Experience Jackson.  You’re invited to this fun all day event celebrating the DBI..We Do Business Community Welcome Center.  8 AM to 5 PM.  The Chamber and Experience Jackson are launching a brand new Welcome Center at their offices in Downtown Jackson.  Come and celebrate with us! Jackson has REOPENED 100% and we are officially welcoming the community into the new DBI…We Do Office Community Welcome Center.  This is going to be a HIGH ENERGY, ALL DAY CELEBRATION kicking off with Home.fm’s Morning Show broadcasting LIVE from The Chamber from 6-9am.  Stop in throughout the day for FREE food and drinks and some AMAZING prizes!!!  K105.3 and Q106 will be doing LIVE Remote Broadcasts too!!!  The whole community is WELCOME!!!  134 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

CANCELED Palooza at the Falls.  Enjoy a great concert experience featuring The New Rule.  Classic, contemporary rock, and popular dance music.  6:30 PM.  Food trucks, beer tent, live entertainment.  The Cascades.  Entertainment sponsored by The Myers Family Little Caesars of Jackson and JacksonCountyParks.org. This event has been canceled.

Grand River Farmers Market.  The Grand River Farmers Market, at the corner of Louis Glick and Pearl Streets in Jackson.  Located under the covered plaza in front of Grand River Brewery.  Open Fridays and Saturdays, 9-2.  Lots of great new vendors, and our favorite regulars too! Buy local at the Grand River Farmers Market and receive the freshest produce in the area. POSTPONED Downtown Movie Night featuring “ET”.  The Downtown Development Authority presents free movies at Horace Blackman Park. Here is the movie lineup for this summer:  Tonight, July 16: ET.  August 13: The Secret Life of Pets.  All movies begin at sunset (~9:30 pm), and popcorn/snacks will be sold on-site. All movie are 100% free!  EVENT POSTPONED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED FOR AN UPCOMING FRIDAY NIGHT

Cascades Splash Pad.  Monday thru Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM.  Sunday 12 PM to 6 PM.  Fenced-in area on south side of Cascades Falls.  Zero-depth facility safe and fun for all ages.  12+ water features including waterfalls, arches, fountains ad getting poured on by the giant water bucket.  Lounge chairs, patio, concessions.  Season and family passes available, along with birthday party packages.  

Cascades Falls.  Open 8 PM to 11 PM Wednesday thru Sunday.  Ages 4 and up:  $2 admission.  Age 3 and under:  free.  Admission rates take effect at 7 PM.  JacksonCountyParks.org.

Dinosaur Tails & Tales.  Jackson District Library virtual event.  Join PaleoJoe, paleontologist, dinosaur hunter, and storyteller to learn what tales dinosaur tails can tell. Have you ever wondered why the Stegosaurus has spikes on his tail? Why are the Longneck Dinosaurs equipped with such long tails?  Hear about and see the Dinosaur with 4 long Pheasant-like tail FEATHERS. Dinosaur stories from a real Dinosaur Digger who returned recently from a dig in South Dakota.  Weekly programs are available online at myjdl.com.

Vandercook Festival.  9 AM to 2:30 PM.  Vandercook Lake County Park.  Cars, Crafts & Market.  Cruise In open to all years, makes and models.  Free registration.  To 20 Peoples Choice Awards.  9AM:  Farmers Market and Crafts.  10 AM:  Car registration begins.  Swimming and kayaking available.  Disc jockey all day.  Food and drinks available.  Hosted by the Vandercook Lake Lions Club.

The Hub’s Huge Yard Sale.  9 AM to 4 PM.  The Hub Teen Center, 730 Tomlinson, Jackson.

The Cascades Rotary Community Bandshell Summer Concert Series.  7 PM.  Tonight, Trent Harris:  Organ Quartet.  All concerts are free to the public.  Bring a lawn chair or blanket for a great night of music by Trent Harris and company.
