Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  You’re invited to join us riverside for a healthy dose of good food, good music, and good community! We’ve got dozens of weekly rotating vendors offering Seasonal fruits & veggies, meats, cheeses, coffee, honey, pasta, artisan breads, baked goods, dairy, plants, flowers, bath and body, hand-crafted artisan wares, and more!  Entertainment and food truck.  We’ve also got prepared food and frozen make-n-take dinners.  We’ll be open rain or shine – hope to see you there!  Glick and Mechanic, Downtown Jackson.

Downtown Jackson Cruise In and Concert. 5 PM to 8 PM.  The fourth Friday of the month during summer, Downtown Jackson is filled with classic and antique cars, food trucks, vendors and entertainment.  Restaurant specials and store sales.  Entertainment tonight by the Harmony Gardeners on the TRUE Community City Square Stage, Horace Blackman Park.  Free fun for the whole family!

Downtown Backyard BBQ. Join us on July 26th & 27th for the 2nd annual Downtown Backyard BBQ at Grand River Brewery! Get ready for an incredible evening filled with family fun, corn hole tournament featuring Dad Bod Baggers and fantastic music from Kat Mandu, Detroit’s very own Bob Seger Tribute Band! and from The Voice, Laith Al-Saadi! Rockin The Tee Box.  Rockin’ The Tee Box Music Festival is back! 14 Artists, 2 Stages, Food Truck Alley, Vendor Row, Yard Games, Putt Putt, Free Parking on site, & WE ALSO HAVE THE LOWEST BEVERAGE PRICES AROUND.  Tickets are only $40 for Entry to both days when you buy ahead. VIP is only $75 (Limited Number available)***PARKING IS FREE ON SITE***The Fest Starts Friday July 26th @ 5:00pm with a Kick Off Party that is included in the cost of your ticket. Vineyard Jams at Cherry Creek Cellars.   Vineyard Jams. Every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-10 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best bands in the area. Date Night:  Ballroom Dance.  Ages 21+ Friday, July 26th 6:00 – 7:00 PM Each ticket is for two people! We invite you to enjoy an evening out while learning Ballroom Dance together with your significant other! Late Night Friday with Live Music by Wes Maharas. Help us welcome Wes Maharas to Sandhill on this late night! Kevin Krieger Live at Ironbark.  7 PM to 10 PM.  Catch a solo evening with Kevin Krieger as he brings his saxophone magic back to Ironbark! Glow Throw at Axe Play.  10 PM.  Axe Play will host Glow Throw on the following Fridays in July, starting at 10pm. Friday, July 12 Friday, July 26 Come with a group or by yourself for a 2-hour drop-in style experience. Jackson College Astronomical Observatory Public Viewing.  9 PM to 11 PM.  Jackson College’s new Astronomical Observatory will hold public viewing nights on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9-11 p.m. (weather permitting) now through the month of July. Viewing nights provide the public with an opportunity to look through the new high-tech telescope to see the planets, the moon and stars. Astronomical Observatory Coordinator Talia Burns will be available to explain what guests may be looking at and to answer any related questions. Guests are also welcome to bring their own telescopes; the site has an outdoor platform area with several piers for amateur astronomers.  Those interested are advised to check the weather beforehand. The telescope is ADA compliant and accessible to people in wheelchairs. When entering Central Campus from Emmons Road, take the service drive to the left; the observatory is just beyond the softball and baseball fields.

Clark Lake Kids Triathlon. 9 AM.  Kids Triathlon is a fun event for kids ages up to 14.  Kids compete in running, biking, and swimming.  Competition begins at 10 am. Clark Lake Yacht Club.  Registration at 9 am.  More details here.

Michigan Center Eagles Fest. 11 AM to 11 PM.  Michigan Center Eaglesfest.  11am-11pm.  302 5th Street, Michigan Center.  Euchre, Cornhole, PoolTournaments, Vendors, Live Music, Bed Races down 5th Street, Fireworks at Dusk.  Event is open to the public. KensiStrong 5K Color Run. KensiStrong 5K Color Run is a fundraiser and community event located in Brooklyn, MI. The event benefits Kensley Brooks, who was diagnosed with Medullablastoma (Brain Cancer) in March 2024. This event is not only a fundraiser for Kensi and her family but to raise awareness of brain tumors in children. It will take place on July 27, starting at 9 am. Happy Music Happy Talk. The Universalist Unitarian Church of East Liberty announces this Sunday’s service, “Happy Music, Happy Talk.” Services are at 11am at the church, located at 2231 Jefferson Road in Liberty Township near Clarklake, MI (1/2 mile West of US 127).  Worship Leader Peg Beison will talk about what makes people happy, and musicians will lead the congregation in singing happy songs too.
