Great Day to Be a Jet Open House.  12 – 3 p.m. Bert Walker Hall, Jackson College. Get to know Jackson College! This event is for any student interested in Jackson College or who has already enrolled in fall 2024 term.  Come chat with us and learn more about financial aid, get assistance completing your application and get your new student questions answered all in one stop.  We will have meet and greet opportunities with our lead faculty, financial aid team, admissions, local employers and apprenticeship opportunities and student support services.  Staff and student lead tours will take your through our world class campus to see inside our learning spaces, housing, athletic facilities and student gathering spaces. Grand River Farmers Market.  9 AM to 2 PM.  You’re invited to join us riverside for a healthy dose of good food, good music, and good community! We’ve got dozens of weekly rotating vendors offering seasonal fruits & veggies, vendors, prepared foods and so much more.  Live performance by John Louis Good at 11 AM.   Corner of Glick and Mechanic, Downtown Jackson.

Center Stage Jackson presents “Hello, Dolly!”.  Baughman Theatre, Potter Center, Jackson College.  The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher-Levi, turn-of- the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” bursts with humor, romance, energetic dance, and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history. Friday and Saturday at 7 PM, Sunday at 3 PM.  Tickets are $25 at the door or online here.

Go Skate Day.  5 PM to 8 PM.  Join us for our 3rd annual National Go Skate Day Event @Nixon Skatepark! This Free event grills out hamburgers and hotdogs for the community to enjoy! We will supply hundreds of dollars worth of skate product to give away! We will do drawings to win product and have fun skate jams! Celebrate skateboarding with us on this National Holiday! Everyone is welcome! Park will be open as usual, we will just be there to make it rad! So come get a free dinner, have some fun and possibly walk away with some free gear! We hope to see you on June 21st from 5pm to 8pm!   Presented by Encounter Church.

Movies at the Bohm Theatre. Bohm Theatre at the Davis Center for Film and Performing Arts, operates as a premier film and performing arts facility in south-central Michigan.  Located in downtown Albion at 201 S. Vineyard Jams at Cherry Creek Cellars.   Vineyard Jams. Every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-10 PM on the Cherry Creek stage, enjoy some of the best bands in the area. Late Night Friday with Jazz by Brandon Marcel.  6 to 9 PM.  We’re always excited to be graced with the presence and sweet sounds of Brandon Marceal playing the jazz flute! We’re open ’til 10pm with music from 6-9pm!  Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Rd, Jackson.

Jackson College Astronomical Observatory Public Viewing.  9 PM to 11 PM.  Jackson College’s new Astronomical Observatory will hold public viewing nights on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9-11 p.m. (weather permitting) now through the month of July. Viewing nights provide the public with an opportunity to look through the new high-tech telescope to see the planets, the moon and stars. Astronomical Observatory Coordinator Talia Burns will be available to explain what guests may be looking at and to answer any related questions. Guests are also welcome to bring their own telescopes; the site has an outdoor platform area with several piers for amateur astronomers.  Those interested are advised to check the weather beforehand. The telescope is ADA compliant and accessible to people in wheelchairs. When entering Central Campus from Emmons Road, take the service drive to the left; the observatory is just beyond the softball and baseball fields

Grand River Brewery Summer Concert Series. Big L and Code Blü will be playing on the patio Saturday, June 22nd at 7pm as the second band in our Summer Concert Series. Bounce House Extravaganza. 11 AM to 2 PM.  Have fun with giant inflatables and activities for the whole family at the Spring Arbor Branch! Dave’s Dogs will be selling a tasty variety of hot dogs and sides throughout the day, and the Jacktown Ukes will perform at 12 PM.  Spring Arbor Branch, Jackson District Library.

Sourdough Saturday with DoughNation Bakery.  2 PM.  Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.  Learn how to make a sourdough starter with Aaron Cole of DoughNation Bakery! Participants will learn how to start a sourdough starter as well as how to mix and shape a loaf of bread.
