Cruise In and Concert.  5:30 PM to 9 PM.  Jackson Downtown Development Authority is hosting a variety of events through the summer of 2022. Tonight, Cruise In & Concert.  Cars on display throughout the downtown streets, 5- 9:30 p.m.  Concert and activities atHorace Blackman Park,  W Michigan Ave & S Jackson St, Jackson.  Tonight’s concert features Jackson’s premiere funk and soul band,  Airtight, 6 PM to 8 PM on True Community Credit Union City Square Stage.  Vendors, food trucks, downtown merchant and restaurant specials and more!  Free!

Live at the Lab.  7 AM to 9 AM.  Join The Chamber, Jackson County Branch NAACP, and Home.fm at the Lean Rocket Lab as the 106.9 Morning Show goes On the Road. There will be casual networking, business showcases from our NAACP members, and FREE Fortress Cafe coffee for those attending.  Lean Rocket Lab, 133 West Michigan, Downtown Jackson.  We are welcoming in a variety of community members and business owners to highlight the great things going on in Jackson – all morning long!

June 25

Jackson Aviation Day.  11 AM to 4 PM.  Aviation Day provides a wonderful opportunity to see a snapshot of the aviation world. The static display area, located on the airport’s aircraft corporate hangar ramp, will feature many unique, experimental, antique aircraft. Aviation Day exhibitors will showcase the many facets of aviation, such as flight training, corporate transportation and soaring. The Yankee Air Museum will be offering rides to the public in their historic C-47 “Hairless Joe”. Local T-6 team “Screamin Rebels” formation team will be displaying their historic aircraft. The 127th Wing of Selfridge Air National Gaur base will have an A-10 Thunderbolt II on static display as well as a helicopter from the Grand Ledge Army National Guard. Recruiters will also be on-site hosting interactive events to explore military aviation. Local responders will be on site to display their vehicles and life-saving equipment. Irish Hills Lake & Home Tour.  Join us for a tour of SEVEN of the top Irish Hills lakes FROM the lakeside on a pontoon.  Curious about lake living, but want to test the waters first?   Irish Hills Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Irish Hills Lake & Home Tour on June 25, 2022, on seven beautiful Irish Hills lakes.  Lakes to tour this year are Lake Columbia, Clark Lake, Devils Lake, Lake LeAnn, Lake Somerset, Round Lake and Wamplers Lake. Take a pontoon ride guided by one of our area’s knowledgeable realtors and/or mortgage lenders on a pontoon provided by our local marinas.  Each lake will have booths, refreshments and more at the access point, highlighting lake living in the Irish Hills.    Wristbands are only $20 and available at the chamber office (124 S. Ducky Derby.  Relay for Life of Jackson County presents Ducky Derby.  Gates open at 12 PM, Ducks run at 1 PM.  Purchase a duck for $5 for a chance to win $1,000 and other great prizes.  Cascades Falls.  Come join the fun at this free public event!

Cascades Rotary Community Bandshell Summer Concert Series.  7 PM.  Free to the public.  Tonight, White Lightning, the best Southern, Punk, Outlaw, Bluegrass, Country Rock and Roll Soul Band North of the Mason-Dixon Line!  Bring a blanket or lawn chair.  Cascades Falls Park.

Art in the Garden.  YPOP 5th Annual Art in the Garden Experience the Gardens It Takes a Village Summer Program Kick-off.  11 am – 5 pm.  YPOP Village Gardens, 1107 Maple Ave. Jackson.  Activities include:  Youth Essay and Art Contest, Street Mural, Southside Market, Community Vendors, Jimmie for Justice, Fun for the whole family, Prizes, food and fun!

Fireworks at Dusk

Baby Shark Party.  2 PM to 4 PM.  Join us at the Carnegie Library for a Baby Shark Party! We’ll have games and crafts – all Baby Shark themed, of course.  Weather permitting, this event will be held on the Carnegie front lawn.  Carnegie Branch, Jackson District Library.

Vintage Bridal Dress Display Event.  11 AM to 3 PM.  Grass Lake Historical Society & Coe House Museum, 371 W. Michigan Ave., Grass Lake.

Blacksmiths, Soldiers, and Log Cabin Weekend.  10 AM to 5 PM both days.  Celebrate Blacksmiths, Soldiers and Log Cabin Weekend at the Waterloo Farm Museum. Join us in commemorating over 100 historic log cabins on Michigan Log Cabin Day Sunday, June 26.  Working blacksmiths, at their forges, will demonstrate and display their practical and artistic wares. A Civil War encampment, with cannon, will be on the grounds depicting the life of a soldier.  Visit Dr Tom in the log house as he talks of medical practices; hear the tale of Kistie’s flour barrel. Observe craftsmen in broom making, flint knapping, spinning and weaving. Tour the farmhouse and outbuildings. Music, vendors and concessions will be available.  Waterloo Farm Museum, 13493 Waterloo Munith Road, Grass Lake.

June 26

On Two Wheels Sunday Morning Breakfast Ride.  9 AM to 12 PM.  This is an OTW sanctioned road ride. This is a “B” ride, a 14mph-18mph, drop and join ride with a destination. This ride will take place on Jackson County roads, helmets are REQUIRED for all riders. Some road riding, and group ride skills will be necessary for this ride. Group will be leaving from Paragon Schools parking lot (corner of McCain & Robinson) at 9 am. Starting dates will be a 25-30 mile ride, and as the summer progresses, moving closer to 60-70 miles. Fathers are Forever Event.  1 PM to 4 PM.  Hosted by Jackson Michigan Giving Back to the Community.  Calling ALL fathers,  please join us Jackson Michgan Giving Back to the Community for our fathers are forever event!! We will be having food catered by @shortieseatstreats&sweets, Live DJ @loudandproudentertainment, raffle drawings, a corn hole tournament and much much more.
