Friday, March 10

Jackson High School Ambassador Auction.  5 PM to 7 PM.  Jackson High School Fieldhouse.  Tickets:  $30 Online bidding only.  In person:  $45 per person (or $80 per couple).  Event includes auction, appetizers, mocktails, and desserts.  Details and tickets here.

5th Annual Chocolate Sensation.  5 PM to 7 PM. Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Weatherwax Hall, Downtown Jackson.  Get your tickets here.  Our premier Spring Benefit Event will be held at Weatherwax Hall at Jackson Symphony Orchestra on Friday, March 10th, 2023.  Doors open at 5:00 pm.  Event runs 5-7 pm.  Enjoy delicious delicacies provided by local vendors, listen to live musical performance, participate in a silent auction and raffles, cash bar, and socialize with fellow friends of Dahlem.

Our Lady of Fatima Fish Fry. 4 PM to 7 PM. All you can eat fish dinners include:  fried and baked fish, baked potato and French fries, green beans, cole slaw, cornbread and dessert.  Adults $15, Seniors $14, Active Military & Veterans $13, Children 6-12 $8, Under 6 free.  Fr. Queen’s Fish Fry.  4:30 PM to 7 PM.  Fried Beer Battered Cod, baked Tilapia (lemon pepper or cajun), French Fries, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, Fish Tacos, Cole Slaw, Cheese Pizza, desserts. Adults $13 Seniors and Students $11 Six and under $5 Drive Through $12.  Queen’s Parish Social Center, 811 S. Wisner, Jackson.

St. Mary’s Fish Fry.  St. Mary Star of the Sea Fish Fry, 120 E. Wesley Street, Jackson.  4-7 pm.  $16/meal.  Menu includes fried or baked fish, French fries, mac & cheese, and cole slaw.  Dine in or carry out. Drive thru is located in alley on east side of the church. Enter from E. Franklin Street.

Polish Falcons Fish Fry.  Dine-in or Take-out avaialble.  4-7 pm.  50/50 raffle.  Adults are $15.  Children are $10 (age 6-10).  Age 5 & under FREE.  Dinner includes 3 pieces of fish, baked potato, mac & cheese, pasta salads, coleslaw and dessert.

Michigan Center Eagles Fish Fry.  5-8 pm each Friday.  Fish (COD) 3pc. (Extra fish $2.00 each), Baked Potato, Coleslaw, Roll.  $15.00.  This is Open to the Public.

Saturday, March 11

Southern Michigan Winter Beer Fest.  12 PM – 5 PM.  The event will be held inside the American 1 Event Center with food trucks, games, fire pits and activities held out on the patio!  The event will showcase over 150 craft beers, ciders, meads and wines along with food trucks; Tiki Sams Pizza, PBJ BBQ, The Bandwagon and Baby Bear Burger!  Special Guest Appearance: FRESH OFF THE VOICE – BRAYDEN LAPE!  Ticket prices: GA tickets are $35.00 in advance. Patrons get 10 tasting tokens. The day of the event is $40.00. We also have VIP tickets for $50.00 that get you 15 tasting tokens, a chance to come in one (1) hour early, and a commemorative hat.  Tickets are currently on sale at Etix.com or Jacksoncountyfair.net or they can be purchased at the Jackson County Fair Box Office located at N administrative entrance at the American 1 Event Center, or can be charged by calling (800) 517-3849 or (517) 788-4405. 

ORS Race Series Pop-Up Training Run.  8 AM to 10 AM.  Lost Railway Museum, Downtown Grass Lake.  Missing the ORS Race Series atmosphere already? We are too. We are partnering with our running friends in the Grass Lake Road Runners (GLRR) for a training run/walk on Saturday March 11, ~ 8:00 am.  THIS IS A FREE event. Just an opportunity to bring our running community together!  We will start and finish at the Lost Railway Museum in Grass Lake. We will have GLRR’s prepared to lead us along the Traffic Jam’In 5K course as well as other varying distances (follow for more information on what those distances will be).  ORS and M&K Jetting will be providing post run refreshments. Come join us for a casual run/walk adventure! Stay afterwards to explore the Lost Railway Museum!!  Next ORS Race Series Race is the FCSA 5K Saturday April 29. Kevin Wolff at the Michigan Theatre.  Nashville recording artist and Jackson, Michigan’s own, Kevin Wolff, is making his Michigan Theatre debut, in a big way! This will be the biggest show in Jackson for a local artist and current resident, in a long time! Join the party and celebrate the release of Kevin’s debut EP release, March 11th, 2023, at the Michigan Theatre of Jackson. There will be great country music from some of the area’s best country artists including special guests Double Wide Ride and Kaylyn Pace.  Be part of this awesome local event and let’s put a spotlight on great local talent. Jackson County Art Teachers Show.   ART 634, 634 N Mechanic St Suite 25, Jackson.  Join the art teachers of Jackson county and their students in celebration of youth art month, and the dedicated educators that inspire them. The work will be on display until April 9! Swing by and celebrate some of Jackson County’s best and brightest.

Mystic Faire at Celebrations.  Free Admission!  There will be a Mystic Faire at Celebrations Wedding Chapel in Horton on March 11, 2023.  We’ve got some new vendors, stop by and see their creations. There will be manifesting/Healing Wands, Crystals, Tarot, Past Life Readings and much more. If you can’t make it this time, we’ll be hosting a similar event each month.  101 Main St. Horton, MI (Victorian church on the corner of Moscow & Main.)

Hidden Women of Color.  A Pop-Up Exhibit Featuring the Art of Jerome Washington during March 2023.  Whatever task they tackled, whatever sacrifices they made, whatever boundaries they had to cross. The Hidden Women of Color are women who made a choice to do what they had to do despite the cost.  One common thread that seems to fuel these remarkable women: To help and elevate others.  It has been a labor of love to discover these women, their achievements and to bring them out of the shadows. The Ella Sharp Museum is proud to feature this pop-up exhibit throughout the month of March. 

Acoustic Sunday with Mike Crupi.  2 PM to 4 PM.  Bring your guitar, bass, or play one of our keyboards to perform on our famous stage. It is a comfortable place to perform and try out your new songs or arrangements. Soloists are encouraged.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.  Admission is FREE!!!
