Friday, March 20

Jackson High School 2026 Ambassador Auction.  5 PM to 7:30 PM.  Ticket price includes: Admission for one person to the March 20th event, appetizers, mocktails, desserts and online bidding access.  $45 per person or $80 per couple.  Tickets available here.  Jackson High School Fieldhouse.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Course. 9 AM. This Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course will be taught in-person at LifeWays in Jackson. This course teaches students to recognize and respond to emergencies, including burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, and back injuries, heat/cold exposure, and breathing or cardiac emergencies. It covers care for all ages—adults (12+) and pediatric (under 12). Upon completion, participants earn a two-year Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification. JFD Car Seat Inspection.  1 PM to 3 PM.  Jackson area families wanting to make sure their children travel safely can take advantage of the Car Seat Inspection Program from the Jackson Fire Department.  The inspections are free and no prior sign up is needed. The inspections will take place at the Jackson Central Fire Station, 518 N. Jackson St. When visiting the Jackson Central Fire Station, pull into the south driveway of the fire station off of N. Jackson Street. Drive around the building past a yellow tower. There will be three large bay doors and a parking lot in front of them to park in. Firefighters will greet you once you’ve parked. Firefighters request parents or guardians bring their children and car seats to the inspection. Crews will look to make sure the car seat is in proper working order, fastened to the vehicle correctly, and is a safe fit for the child. A limited number of car seat replacements are available for free if firefighters find a seat is unsafe.

Michigan Gem & Mineral Society Show.  Friday 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM.  American 1 Event Center, Keeley Park.  Adults $5, Seniors $3, Students $2.  Veterans free on Friday, children under 5 free.  More information here.

St. Mary Lenten Fish Fry. 4 PM to 7 PM.  $17 per meal.  2 pieces of fried or baked cod, french fries, mac & cheese, cole slaw, and dessert.  In Star Hall, lower level of church, at corner of Wesley and Mechanic Streets, every Friday during Lent.   All proceeds go to St. Mary Child Development Center.  Dine in, drive thru, or carry out.

Queens Friday Fish Dinner. 4:30 PM to 7 PM.  Join us Fridays during Lent for the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry.  Fish, baked or fried, fish tacos, vegetable, french fries, mac & cheese, cole slaw, pizza, drinks and dessert.  Adults $16, $15 for seniors and students, $13 for active military, $7 for ages 7 and under.  Family rate available.  Drive thru meals $14.  Queens School Cafeteria.

Our Lady of Fatima Lenten Fish Fry.  Join us at Our Lady of Fatima for our Annual Lenten Fish Fry! Enjoy an all‑you‑can‑eat dinner featuring fried and baked fish, classic sides, and homemade desserts. Bring family, friends, and neighbors for great food and warm community fellowship.
