Capital City Brass Band in Concert.  Annual Pre-NABBA (North American Brass Band Association) Concert by the Capital City Brass Band will help prepare the band for the National Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana, April 5-7. The concert is free and along with the full ensemble includes performances by all the band’s competing soloists and chamber ensembles.  7 PM, JSO Weatherwax Hall, 215 West Michigan Avenue, Jackson.

The Michigan Theatre presents Kev Nichols. Kevin Nichols and Blue Tuesday host Blues Jam. Doors open at 6:30 P.M. Music Starts at 7:00 PM. Bar and Concessions available for purchase. Admission is FREE!!!

Chuckles for Charity.  Featuring comedian Jason Douglas.  All proceeds from this event go to benefit disAbility Connections, a local non-profit which assists and advocates on behalf of individuals and families in our community who deal with the effects of disease, accident, and disability.  Silent Auction – 50/50 Raffle – and more!  Details: Facebook event page, click here.  Commonwealth Commerce Center, City View Ballroom.  6 PM.

The Library Fights Back.  Use the Force this Spring Break to make your way to the Jackson District Library and work toward becoming a Jedi Master.  The district-wide challenge is scheduled from March 30 – April 7, with a different Star Wars theme at all our locations.  Try your hand at 13 different Star Wars challenges at all JDL locations to earn exciting prizes. Complete four challenges to earn a prize, eight challenges to earn a second prize, and all 13 challenges to enter into our grand prize drawing.  Share your Star Wars experience or costumes with us on social media using the hashtag #JDLStrikesBack.  Call the Children’s Department at 517-905-1331 for more information. Experience Trackers and Maps are available at the Carnegie Library.  Be on the lookout for various Star Wars-themed events during the week of Spring Break at the Jackson District Library.

On Two Wheels 30th Anniversary Event.  10 AM to 5 PM, On Two Wheels, 550 Laurence Avenue, Jackson.  Prizes, discounts, food, fun!  Parts and accessories 30% off, all bicycles 10% off.   Come celebrate os On Two Wheels turns 30 on the 30th!

Sports Trivia Breakfast presented by Kingdom Life Ministries.  8 AM, Gene Davis Banquet Center, 3575 Francis Street, Jackson.  Come show off your sports knowledge and compete for prizes.  Special guest speaker, fun and great food.  $15 in advance here or $20 at the door.

Free Movie Night.  First Baptist Church will present a free movie night Saturday, March 30 at 6 p.m. We will be watching “The Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith. This month, Shaunte Patton, director of Love INC of Jackson County, to join in a discussion of the movie.  Community members are invited to this free event!  (Parent or adult should accompany children, please).  First Baptist Church is located at 201 S. Spring Sangria Bar at Sandhill Crane Vineyards.  Did you miss our NYE Sangria Bar?  It was a blast, so we’re ready to do it again!  Build your very own Sangria- Start with a base of one of our wines, then head over to the Sangria Bar to create your own, signature sangria!  We will have an array of fruits, juices, & flavors to choose from to make your sangria sparkle!  $9 for one, or $16 for two!  Grab some food from the kitchen, until 6:45.  Live Music ALL DAY from Kayleigh Slone, 12-3 & Jeff Tucker, 3:30-6:30.  No Cover.  Sandhill Crane Vineyards, 4724 Walz Road, Jackson.

Sugaring, Shearing and Science.  Welcome Spring at the Ella Sharp Museum’s annual Sugaring & Shearing festival, held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from noon-4 p.m. Farm lane will be bustling with activities like sheep herding, sheep shearing, and traditional craftsmanship. Stop by the sugar bush for live sap-to-syrup demonstrations by Dahlem, Jackson’s Nature Place. All six galleries will be open with free admission, and all historical buildings will be open to visitors.

Michigan Theatre presents Celebration of Life for Monte D. Long – “Jackson’s Music Man”.   Join Jackson’s theatre community and friends of Monte D. Long as we pay tribute to “Jackson’s Music Man”.  An outstanding line up of artists paying tribute to Monte. Full concessions and bar available. Free Event!!!  Donations will be given to Center Stage Jackson per Monte’s request.
