CPCAN Annual Pinwheel Garden.  11:30 AM.  April is Child Abuse Prevention Month! Join the Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (CPCAN) and our supporters as we plant a pinwheel garden to bring awareness about child abuse prevention. The pinwheel represents the joyful, carefree childhood every child deserves! We will have a ceremony in the park across the street from our agency and will then move into our Child and Parent Center for light refreshments. CPCAN, 606 Greenwood Place, Jackson.

STEM Mondays. 11 AM.  Jackson District Library Spring Arbor Branch. Stop by the Spring Arbor Branch for STEM activities. These activities are great for enhancing homeschooling curriculum!  Space is limited and registration is required. Call the Spring Arbor Branch at 517-750-2030 to register.

Book Tastings.  6 PM.  Join us as Jackson District Library staff discuss what we’re reading, how we choose titles, and who we would recommend these titles for.  Staff Hosts:  Anna Clark, Community Engagement Coordinator, Carly Pampuch, Branch Manager – Springport and Parma, Katie Sayles, Carnegie Library/Youth Services, and Kris Flickinger, Springport Branch. This event will take place live on Zoom and our Facebook page. Donation Drive.  Join the Jackson County Department of Health and Human Services in April’s Donation Drive to recognize Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.  Make your donation of cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, new blankets, socks/underwear of all sizes, diapers, wipes, baby shampoo/wash, sleep sacks, pack-n-plays.  Donation box in JTV lobby, 152 West Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.  For more information, contact Angela Guadagnina at GuadagniniA@michigan.gov.
