Jackson College Registration at MLK Center. 5 PM to 7 PM. Jackson College and the City of Jackson continue to offer classes close to downtown at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center!  Join us at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Center to explore the learning opportunities that await. Students may attend an upcoming registration date to get started, where they may apply and learn more about advising, registration and financial aid.    All students are welcome to enroll, from traditional-aged students recently out of high school to returning adult students. DJ Bingo at CC’s Classic Lounge.  7 PM to 8:30 PM.  Bring Your Family, Bring Your Friends!  Bring your phone or tablet to play along or grab a DJ Bingo music card from us when you sign up at your favorite location. It’s fun for all ages!  629 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson.

Concord Back to School Open House. 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  We are rolling out the red carpet for our families to say thank you for supporting the school while also celebrating the students’ return. Concord Community Schools 405 S. Main Street Concord.  We will have a ribbon cutting on our new playground at 6:30.  Returning to school is a big deal, and we want to celebrate our students and their families as we move into a new school year. Food Service will be providing free meals to Concord School District families, hosting a free fresh food farmers market, and running a meet the farmer event, so the families will get to meet the farmers that are supporting the event (The Shaded Wagon, Blossom Farms, and Easton Family Farms) The farmers market is funded by the Team Nutrition Grant through MDE.  Additionally, we will have our newly expanded preschool program handing out free snow cones. There will be bounce-houses, the students will meet their teachers,  AND we will be cutting the ribbon on our brand-new playground and walking path which was funded by the May 2022 Bond.  (Note: All are welcome, but free meals are limited to Concord Schools families).

Mid Michigan Foster Care Orientation.  5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Join us to learn more about becoming a foster parent in Mid Michigan! A 2-hour orientation will give you all you need to take the next steps! Cascades Humane Society Wine & Whiskers.  Summer breezes. Delicious wine. Good food. Great company.  Wine and Whiskers, Cascades Humane Society’s wine and food pairing event, is back this summer at Sandhill Crane Vineyards!
