About the film: When bratty 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) acts out the night before a family trip to Paris, his mother (Catherine O’Hara) makes him sleep in the attic. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without Kevin, he awakens to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallister residence, and that he alone must protect the family home.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Ward 2 Neighborhood Meeting.  Residents in Jackson’s Second Ward have an upcoming opportunity to meet with their City Council representative and learn the latest news from their neighborhood. City Councilmember Freddie Dancy is holding a neighborhood meeting for the Second Ward on Monday, Dec. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Boos Recreation Center. Councilmember Dancy organized the meeting for residents to learn about recent police activity in the area, the City’s Home Rehabilitation Program, and efforts to replace lead service lines. This will also be a time for residents to ask questions and give feedback. Ward 2 covers Jackson’s east side neighborhoods and the eastern half of Downtown Jackson. All residents are welcome to attend. The Boos Recreation Center is located at 210 Gilbert St. in Loomis Park.

Monday Night Comedy at the Enchanted Forest. 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM.  Join Monster Box Theatre for a night of Improv Comedy fun MONDAY at 7:30 PM.  Monday Nights are Comedy Nights at The Enchanted Forest Bar & Grill in Jackson! Come out for three rounds of improv comedy fun with no cover thanks to Fawzi’s Enchanted Forest, 3705 Ann Arbor Rd, Jackson.

Nite Lites Drive Thru Christmas Display.  An experience like no other! Nite Lites is a five-mile long holiday lights drive through experience, running every day through Jan 5, 2025.   Drive Thru tickets can also be purchased at the gate.  Train tickets must be purchased online in advance.  Sun – Thurs 5:30pm – 9:00pm, Fri – Sat  5:30pm – 10:00pm.  $35 Per Car.  Michigan International Speedway US-12 Entrances only, 12626 US-12, Brooklyn, Michigan.Ticket Booth is 15 minute drive off of US 12 Entrances Gate 8 Or Gate 14 thru our spectacular Pre Show.  WEST bound – use Gate 8 Entrance.  EAST bound – use Graves Farm Entrance Gate 14.
