Jackson College Winter Film Series.  “The Graduate”. Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) has just finished college and, back at his parents’ house, he’s trying to avoid the one question everyone keeps asking: What does he want to do with his life? An unexpected diversion crops up when he is seduced by Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), a bored housewife and friend of his parents. But what begins as a fun tryst turns complicated when Benjamin falls for the one woman Mrs. Robinson demanded he stay away from, her daughter, Elaine (Katharine Ross).  Doors open at 6:30 pm. Auditorium doors open at 7 pm. Film begins at 7:15 pm. Admission is $5.  Michigan Theatre, Downtown Jackson.

Book Tasting.  6 PM to 7 PM.  Staff from across Jackson District Library discuss what they are reading (listening to, playing, watching), why they chose those titles, what they like/dislike about them, and who they would recommend them for.  Patrons have the opportunity to ask questions, give their own reviews, and talk all things books  This event will take place on Zoom. Low Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic.  Cascades Humane Society is hosting a low-cost vaccine clinic on Monday, January 30th from 9 AM until 1 PM! Appointments are every 15 minutes. Please make one appointment per pet you are bringing. Walk-ins are also welcome and will be fit in around the appointments!  Upon arrival, one of our volunteers will check you in. You will be asked to fill out a form of which services you would like. Payment will be accepted in person after you have filled out your form and before the services are provided.  Visit the event link for a list of services and prices!

DSLR 1 -Understanding Your DSLR.  6 PM.  This course covers the basic camera settings and functions, the exposure triangle and understanding how a proper exposure is made.  Picture This…Jackson, 316 N. Wisner Street, Jackson.
