Supermarket Science.  Jackson District Library Summer Program.  10 AM (Virtual).  It looks like magic but it’s not. Simple grocery store items are used to perform crazy and wacky science experiments. You’ll never see eggs, soda cans, toilet paper, bananas, water bottles and baby diapers the same way ever again. Safety is stressed, laughs are guaranteed. Family Walk Day presented by Jackson Parks & Recreation.  If you’re looking to get your family out of the house for some exercise, here’s a great opportunity! The City of Jackson is hosting Family Walk Day events from the Parks and Recreation Department. This new program takes you on fun 3 mile walks through Ella Sharp Park.  Meet at Ella Sharp Park Soccer Fields.  Registration at 6:30 PM, Walk begins at 7 PM.  Prizes and Fun Walks!   Contact Andrew Sargeant at 517-990-6290 if you have any questions about the program.

Fresh Food Distribution.  Presented by Southern Michigan Food Bank at First United Methodist Church, Downtown Jackson.  1:30 PM to 3 PM.  2nd and 4th Monday of the month.  Drive-thru distribution, walkers are welcome.  First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Avenue, Downtown Jackson.

Move It Mondays…Bike, Walk, or Roll.  5 PM to 8 PM.  MOVE IT MONDAYS… An Intro to Dahlem’s Trails!  Join Martha, Brian and Ben on Monday, July 26, during the MOVE IT MONDAYS Active Jackson Facebook event highlighting the Dahlem Center.  MOVE IT MONDAYS Active Jackson will share great footage of Ben, Dahlem Center Executive Director, introducing 5 Dahlem trails and Brian riding on the 3/8 mile accessible trail.  Some new fitness stations will also be highlighted!  Martha spent a day at the Community Garden lots with Nikkia filming an intro to community gardening, the butterfly/dog-friendly trail and the bee aviary stations.
