Jets Air Station Opening Day. You are invited to experience the new Jets Air Station at Jackson College, opening on July 8! After months of anticipation, the finishing touches have been made, and the Jets Air Station is ready to welcome guests! The hours will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays & Sundays (hours may change based on usage). This brand-new inflatable air dome provides more space for college athletics, student and community workouts, and public events. Inside, the Air Station features a rubberized floor with four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, six pickleball courts, and two tennis courts. A marked walking track surrounds the perimeter of the athletic courts. The starting setup includes one tennis court, a volleyball court, a basketball court, and a pickleball court, which may change based on usage. To meet visitors’ needs, there are restrooms, a greeters’ station, bag/shoe storage, a lounge/seating area and vending machines. Guests may check out tennis rackets and balls, volleyballs, pickleball paddles and balls and basketballs. All users must sign in on arrival, every time. Usage of the Jet Air Station will be free over the summer; memberships will be offered for the fall semester, with information to come.

Yoga at Eastern. 3:00 pm – 4:00. Come relax, unwind, and take care of your body with the slow and gentle flow of yoga at the Eastern Branch! Bring your own mat. If you do not have one, a limited amount may be available. This program takes place on the second Monday of the month at 3 PM.

Sharp Park Mini Golf. The Ella Sharp Park Mini Golf is open for the season. 7 days a week, 12 Noon to 8 PM. 18 holes: $7 per person. Groups of 5 or more $5 per person. Located at the Fourth Street entrance to Sharp Park.

Event Series: ¿Cómo se dice…? 5 PM to 6 PM. Did you learn Spanish in school, college or on a trip abroad? Haven’t practiced in years and feeling a little “rusty”? Enjoy refreshing your memory and practicing conversational Spanish at the Summit Branch! Register by calling the Summit Branch at 517-783-4030. Class Dates (all sessions at 5 PM): July 8 & 22, August 5 & 19. Intended for adults. This is not a beginner’s class and some prior experience with Spanish is recommended.
